I don't think anything can be concluded from that. If you want to find out bury it up to the axle and get both wheels spinning then put the truck in park and wedge some wood under one of the tires then gently put it in drive and if the wood is wedged well enough and it does spin then you probably have an lsd if it doesn't spin and the the tire that doesn't have the wood does then you have open. I guess you could do this with jack stands under the axle but I wouldn't want to turn the truck on with it on jack stands you know?

You are going to get that front drive shaft?

I dont think he has a transfer case or front dif.. or CV axles...

u know the drive shafts are different lengths.

oh ok. I though u still wanted to buy that used one.

 

Most after market ones are heavier duty and hence slower acceleration but it should be minimal.

Well, when I stop there's a thud usually when I let off the brakes to take off and when stopping my truck slightly jerks bath and forth and sometimes when stopped it feels as if it jumps forward a lil

 

It sounds a lot like axle wrap. When you install you AAL it should help. Also check all your ubolts and make sure they are torqued down.

 

That would more of a transmission problem to me...Did you ever check that. Or try checking the u-joints.

Let's just say hypothetically that it was the driveshaft, wouldn't you replace the u-joints before the whole DS?

No, I am thinkin bout gettin the tranny flushed. I cant find a damn socket deep enough to try to even retorque the u bolts. I forgot to do that at the mod day. Im hoping I get the ICON AAL/Leaf Pack for Christmas. I still have to get Coilovers or Shocks and Coil Springs for the front.

 

when i get back from atlanta i am going to mount my go pro camera under my truck and watch my axle and see how bad it vibs. It almost looks like its not centered correctly. It looks like its shifted to the right alittle too far.

 

I never had the problems I am having now until I got the leveling kit
