Speaking of parts! The lady in brown had a workout today bringing some boxes (the leafs I bought locally). I ordered during Wheelers November sale.. 12(ish) week wait and I still didn't get everything planned out. I ordered ubolt flip and bumps from Archive last week. Once those show up I should have a fun driveway weekend.

Where did you pick those up? My cousin has those on his 2nd Gen and just grabbed a 1st Gen and wanted to get some for that too since they’re his favorite.

A friend of mine who works at a dealership ordered them for me. Got sweet deal too. They're available online as well

Apparently I have 20 pages to read before I’m caught up... Hope everyone enjoyed the snow, managed 10 recoveries - 5 just using tred pros, 4 just with sheer braun and guile, one actual tug and it was a 1st gen Tundra.

Dumb updates - made a spare tire carrier so my tire sits in the bed mounted up by the cab, need to build a mount for my little propane tank. Cooler update, I now have a top-shift gear-driven transfer case, waiting on Marlin stock...

Probably heading East for a night this weekend, and I suppose it’s still not quite appropriate, but I sure am looking forward to a group run one day.

Hope you’re all well, have a solid weekend.

Next up parts-wise for me is a bunch of electrical stuff.

Right now the winch is direct wired (not a great plan) so switching it to a relay (came in) and being switch controlled (okay, bluetooth switches, I'm lazy) is up next. Also gotta install some fogs into the bumper - it's only set up for flush mount and I want DOT so .. and also the lightbar for the bumper. Since I'll have a switch controller anyway. Maybe a battery tray and a second battery later.

    Mods.. never done for sure.

I look forward to learning for your experience. Electrical is still a couple years down the list for me I think, but it is starting to look interesting. I have a ton to learn and it feels like an area where poor choices can have severe effects.

Changing topics; anyone braving Hwy 26 tomorrow morning? I want to go sledding and goof off with the family but Hwy 26 on a Saturday morning after a snow seems like it could be dreadful. Maybe I'll cop out and see how far up Lolo people have made it. Or just see how early I can get a sleepy family in the truck and check out the Hwy 35 side past Meadows to get out of Portland traffic. Or maybe skip 26 all together and see what is up above Carson... any opinions on finding sledding snow that won't have a traffic jam?

Never tried this, but I’ve been considering going towards Lolo from the hood River side and finding a spot that way. There are plenty of forest roads that are out that way. Again, I haven’t tried myself yet. But that is on my to do list.

Unfortunately during Covid times 26 is pretty much guaranteed to be a shitshow any Saturday it snows. Never seen snowpark traffic jams until this year.

it has warmed up pretty good this way but my guess is Lolo still has a load of snow.

The back side of the mountain off of 35 is fun and usually a little less crowded, but still some folks around. I’m not really sure what roads are open and accessible right now, but the ridge east of hwy 35 is full of fun roads to explore.

Looks like there is a seasonal closure up at the top of the ridge. This is just a bit south of Parkdale off 35.

    DIY Fabricobbler.

Been collecting a bunch of electrical upgrades, Plug-N-Play items and such for months in prep for pulling my dash apart once to install as much as I can in one take. Have two MESO switch panels to install while I'm in there.

Got a current Amazon order in the making with more split loom in various diameters, fabric loom tape, relays, yada yada to make a nice clean install.

Still waiting on my ARB twin compressor to ship due to a nationwide shortage. Then this will get wired in and plumbed as needed.

Yesterday I ordered everything for a fresh install of Yukon 4:88s, ARB front locker and ECGS bushing.

In the mean time, I just need a dry day to install my ubolt flip kit, Durobumps and extended SS brake lines that I've been sitting on for a bit.

There's a fairly long list of stuff to get done here this Spring, but after everything is in and working properly, I will be good for a bit.

Then it's time to design and build sliders, and both front/rear bumpers.
    :annoyed:

I figured it might be another couple months until it’s accessible. Love that area though.
