Thats what i narrowed it down to also. I have chipped the ice away from between my sliders and cab, cab mount, and anywhere I can find but doesn't go away until its ALL gone! Makes me nervous but I can't do much about it without a heated garage.

Friend of mine had one at his apartment building so I borrowed it for a couple hours. Did the trick.

Does the clink happen when backing/turning, then going/turning?

If your LCA bolts are not cranked to the required HUGE torque value (145ftlb sound about right, but don’t quote) they’ll make a popping/clinking noise too

That happens a lot. I just a basically ignore any weird noises that happen during the winter any more.

Anyone have experience with mounting a Sherpa or Prinsu rack on their topper or have fiberglass experience? I have some shitty Prorack rails and I don't know how I am going to get my Sherpa mounted on them. Might just need to drill new holes and fill the old ones.

I've just resigned myself to the fact that the most off-roading I'll do in Minnesota is a bumpy gravel road with a few pot holes.

I'm still able to drive overland up here without serious risk of getting stuck. We have less than a foot, but it is drifted to maybe 2 feet in spots. I never used to plow my driveway either when I had one. It had a inline too. It was quite fun to get my 2wd Ranger up it. It took some momentum.

The picture of your backyard reminds me of the backyard I grew up in. The snow forms what look like water waves from the wind blowing the snow across miles of empty farm field. They get hard enough that you can walk on them.

That's right next door to me. There much you can even do there?

Just riding around enjoying nature and getting a little dirty under the chassis. Something to get us out of our house.

Are there unplowed roads and/trails in Carlos Avery or are you going there to hike, ski, or bike?

The closest unplowed forest roads to me that I know of are about an hour away in Sand Dunes State Forest near Big Lake. I would like to find others.

Snow can make otherwise boring timid terrain challenging.

Hey folks. Anyone have any local fab spots that make sliders? Would love to buy local for reasons of supporting local, but also to save on shipping from out of state. Thanks for any recs you have.
