Anyone can else feel like they timed the purchase just right with the pandemic?

I bought my sport premium last May just when the economy was hitting the shitter. I found a color I wanted in the package I wanted when inventory was starting to get scarce. Got 4k off and 0% financing too.

So I did a calculation and I figure waiting until 2020 saved me about $3500 over the 2019 I almost bought.

Did I mention I friggin love my truck?

Financed my 2017 TRD OR for $36k in May of 2017. Traded it in September of last year (2020) for $30.5k towards my 2020 Pro. I owned the 2017 for about 3 and a half years (for those who haven't had their coffee yet). Couldn't pass up that opportunity along with my credit union offering great interest rates because of the pandemic as well. I had my eye on the 2020 MY since the first bit of info came out, wanted it upon release but my house had other plans for me at the time (new heat pump, new paint, and new roof). As upset as I was at the time, it all worked out great.

Bought my 2021 DCLB TRD OR in November 2020. Had the features I wanted. They gave me 4k off the sticker as I was walking out the door

Paid a few grand more than I planned for my '21 TRD OR (due to low stock and increased demand) recently but I also got a few grand more than I was expecting when I sold my '12 TRD Sport so it all kind of evened out.

I bought my '20 in April of last year. I'd planned on waiting until summer but my previous 4x4 had a major break-down in March then when I saw that production was shutting-down I figured since I wanted a very specific Taco (4x4, OR MT) it was now or never. I got about $5K off MSRP and didn't have to travel farther then my local (5 mins away) dealer to get it. I really like the truck and am glad I bought when I did. That said I almost sold it last summer when Carvanna was blowing-up but I'm glad I didn't.

Bought new dec 2017. 1% interest 34.5k after taxes. At the rate they are now i would've got a used 2nd gen if I had to buy now.

I got my TRD OR Tundra in the middle of May 2020, it was a 2018 with 10k miles, $32,500. Guys on the forum over there are getting ‘deals’ on similar age trucks with way higher mileage for $36-$38k. Glad I bought when I did.
