Welcome! Many of us ended up here a bit early - I was allowed to sit on the porch for a few years before I turned 60. Great folks here, other than me, of course.

Mike - can you call your local health agency or another vaccine provider? Here in PA, age is only one determinant. I personally know two folks in their early 40s who both have underlying health conditions and received their vaccines.

Lynn, her Mom and I are scheduled for our 2d vaccine shots this coming Thursday.

We ended up with a total of maybe 7" of snow over the last two days. Pretty easy to clean up. It always fun to get out the Challenger...but I'm ready to drop the plow blade and start hauling mulch any time now. Bring on the warm weather!!

    Morning Mark
I went in a read a bunch of stuff last night.
    Apparently I was misinformed.
The underlying condition Crap doesn’t start until the next phase.
    So here it’s
All the “important people” no disrespect in this. Healthcare etc.
    70 up
    65 to
    Then underlying conditions.
So it’s just some more time.
Some older people got it and no problems
My family has a few nurses and one was laid right out
    For a few days.
And she is younger and no underlying conditions.
    So it’s a crap shoot.
Just let things play out I guess..

Looking great, 6! Had to chip ice loose with a spud bar, out at the road where the plowed slush is frozen. Good thing, this mornomg it's 7°F. Hoping for a little sun next couple days to clean it up a bit, but it's usable. We're off to see the vaccine wizard Tue.

    Good Morning folks

Welcome to the porch @VanGo3. Pull up a chair and chat with the gang. Lots of different subjects to chat about. Enjoy.

Yep. Some years back, neighborhood kids got stuck on a dirt road near our house. Tacoma buried up the axles and stuck hard. It has been raining for over a week, so they went out on the first clear day. Mud pit city.

We piled in my '79 FJ40 and went out to see where they were. First water hole, the kid tells me, "This one was deeper than we thought". I drove up and around it, and he asked, "why didn't you go through it". I just smiled and said, "you really don't want two stuck vehicles out here, do you?"

Grab a beer, and pull the chair up to the firepit.

    Good morning all,
Today is tax day. My wife and I get to see how much we can steal from the government. Maybe better said how much the government can screw us. We'll see what the results are. We are both still waiting for the appointment for vaccine shot. I answered the questions and got us on a list somewhere. We keep getting e-mails and phone texts telling us to be patient. The Government can't run the VA so how can it run the vaccine rollout. Time will tell. All we can do is sit on the porch and watch it snow and be thankful we are not in Texas. I feel real bad for those folks down there. There is nothing harder than to have no power, no water and a food supply going down fast. I hope they sort things out a prevent this from happening again. So everyone be healthy, wealthy wise and safe. Have a good weekend.
    Russ

    Good morning!
I guess I am one of the "fortunate" ones as far as the covid vaccine. My wife and I received our 2nd doses on Thurs.
I'm here to tell you to be prepared for the effects of the 2nd dose! The first round was just a little arm soreness but this 2nd one the next day felt like a case of the flu almost (headaches, chills body aches and tirednss).
Not to scare anyone though as I've read that these are all "good" signs that the body is building resistance/antibodies to covid. I guess that makes sense.
Today we both feel just fine (except we're still old folks, no vaccination against that, LOL). Glad it's over and I hope this helps someone.

    Good morning

This is our work and play machine. I never got the plow set up for it. Had the ATV with the plow already and works fine.
We have some of the best trails in the state just up the road from us. On the weekends we are off somewhere.
In June we’re going to the Black Hills riding for a week with the Bro-in-law and wife.
