That's what I though, it would be at close to the stock position.

The one I took pictures of in thread is still at dealership. I’m going to try to get over there tomorrow and test drive it. Compare it to my 5100’s lift etc. Hopefully I can report Back to you guys if it happens.

Hmm... I will ask the guy I spoke with on the phone today. I planned on going there tomorrow to ask in person, get a better idea and talk through some ideas too. He seemed to know a LOT more about the lift than the service counter guy I spoke with. He definitely knows his stuff, even helped explain the preloading of the shocks to me like you did, and like you, explained it where I could understand it. I really appreciate when people can do that. I'm mildly mechanically inclined, but that doesn't mean I know everything. Some people make fun of me for having to dumb things down.

Yeah, I don't really rely on my cruise control adaptive speed that often - it is nice to have though. I don't have the windshield camera - at least I don't think I do. Changing the grill doesn't mean the sensor will not work, it just means that it might be say off a few degrees possibly? I too don't use the auto high beams.

We have forest service roads here, in just terrible condition. I am adding a RTT and diamondback tonneau which I might need to have that extra leaf in the rear to help support that weight. but that will only be mounted when i am using it.

That's silly. I talked to the foreman earlier today and he mentioned nothing about that as we talked about the shocks, calibration, and alignment. I will ask about this tomorrow. Something tells me the guy you spoke to missed something perhaps?

I'm glad you found someone helpful. It can be difficult to get people to take the time to make long explanations here but I've learned so much being on TW for a couple years. I gathered from here all the info I needed to buy a lift kit that suited me and on YouTube I found videos that made it possible to do the install myself which was really rewarding because now I have a much better understanding of how the components work.

I was charged $750 (pre-tax) which included the alignment.

When I got my install the dealer called & said they needed an extra day because “Toyota told us some of the parts they sent in the kit weren’t right”. They had to wait until the next AM when the correct parts came in to finish the job. Could be what you mentioned above.

i would also question the idea of toyota honoring a warranty on this setup...just because it is my understanding that they don't even warrant suspension work on a trd or if it has been driven off- road....am i wrong?

my point is that you could spend 3k on 4 bilsteins and a rear block hoping to keep your warranty.....but toyota doesn't cover your truck if it takes one step off pavement whether you have this overpriced setup or a nicer one or a stock or......nay?

Is the lift noticeable? Did they return you parts that were on before? Suspension, grille, sensor?

Possibly? I just want the kit haha. Talked to 3 dealerships and 2 don’t know much about it and the 3rd told me about the faulty nuts. I’m wondering if I could call one of the dealerships that y’all use and order it through the phone and have it shipped to my house? Seems like some of y’all are getting it pretty fast.

Noticeable when you look at the truck (& can def notice when you get in, I find myself using the side steps now) but not in terms of on-road presence, driving the truck feels the same.

& yes dealer boxed up all the parts for me, if anyone wants an Offroad grille or stock shocks w only a few hundred miles on ‘em let me know lol.

Yeah man I called two before finding one that knew what they were talking about. The dealership I bought the truck from literally 10 days before didn’t even give me the time of day haha so the new one that helped me out for sure got my future business.

Not sure on the shipping, I had to go pay in person for the kit but know others on here were able to pay over the phone. Seems like each dealer is doing their own thing. Toyota’s shipping efficiency seems to be on point lol mine was in next day and I think that’s what others experienced as well. I knew their manufacturing process pretty much wrote the book on lean processing but didn’t know that carried into their other departments.
