True. That being said my brand new, fresh off of the delivery truck plasma cutter is inoperative. I brought it to plug in at work where there was a plasma table and intended to cut a 3/4" bar that I brought with me. Well the unit won't power up at all... nothing. Not even a flicker of a green indicator light. I even plugged in to the higher voltage to see if that made a difference. To be clear this plasma cutter hasn't done anything yet. No fan noise. No blinking light. No steady power light. Nothing. I am hopeful it can be fixed somehow. I didn't even try to plug it in at home. I went straight for the industrial setting of my job. I work at an automotive repair facility with 20+ bays. So let's hope I can get this remedied... fingers crossed.

Sometime after this pic was taken I drove the Daddywagon to work and just before I got home aomething went wrong and I lost power steering. I assumed belt and I was right. But the tensioner is seized and that's what shredded the belt. So tensioner and belt have been added to the list.

My woes with buying a plasma cutter continue. It has been a full 2 weeks since the arrival of the defective unit. Well the manufacturer has made an effort to make me whole by having another unit sent to me from the supplier. It arrived today in a box that was very obviously cut open, patched and taped up again. I am not even going to open it. I am so frustrated over this. My understanding is they sent a brand new unit to the supplier and the supplier sent me from their stock! What I got looks it was returned... many times. Aaargh!

After what I just went through would you trust that there is a brand spankin' new plasma cutter in this box? I sent an email pleading with the manufacturer for help.

The Daddywagon is hurting. A couple of weeks ago the serpentine belt went. Well I replaced the belt and the pulley that caused the belt to fail. There is an exhaust pulse right out of the valve cover. This is the same pulse that is pushing the PCV right out of the intake. I drove it to work today anyhow. 30+ miles each way and it still pulls pretty hard. I am gonna drive it until it blows up. Haha!

That speedo is a feature of the camera that I just found. It's probably woefully inaccurate. I suspect the car didn't get past 60mph.

I got the Daddywagon inspected on Wednesday. It passed with flying colors! Honestly it needs a little work... but that's ok!

Did it rattle the inspectors? I mean surely they were smart enough to know it wasn't 'original'.

No. Since private garages inspect vehicles in PA and after a certain number of years the emissions is just a visual inspection. There's no OBD computer to plug into and no more sniffer testing... so it passed.

The Daddywagon needs the fox mustang dash and console. It was an excuse to buy a plasma cutter to cut up a fox mustang.

Thanks! The next step for me would be powertrain swap. I want to assemble a more powerful engine and bolt the 6 speed transmission to the back of it while it's outside of the car. Then address cosmetics of the engine bay before I drop it in. This way I can open my hood with pride as I hit the car show circuit! Haha!
