I had a good talk with Spencer yesterday about shipping these tops. If anyone is interested in me moving a top east for them and expects their build in the next couple months feel free to reach out via PM or whatever. I looks like the tentative date for the first load will be around April, though nothing is guaranteed. They are busy turning them out as quickly as they can.

Has anyone put a heater in one of these? How’s it do? I’m weighing something like that vs going FWC

I'll be putting a Webasto petrol (gasoline) furnace in mine. A few people have discussed and shown how they are heating theirs way back in this thread. Enjoy the 120 pages.

I have mine coming in but he realized I had an SP. He thought I had a GFC so he sent me the wrong one. I’ll have to send him the GFC one back so he can send me the SP one lol!

I would have to confirm with him that he hasn’t sold it yet.

I'll soon be driving 84 from Twin Falls into OR, enroute to the camper install. I was hoping the OR folks would recommend a cool small town to stay overnight, before finishing up the final leg into Portland. Any recommendations for Boardman?

Are you looking for a town with a room, or a place to camp?

I just slept at a freeway rest stop as a final reminder of why I'm getting the SP :)

I hear ya. I've spent my fair share of nights sleeping in truck cabs. I got the lady with me on this trip, so that's a no go.

Pendleton is cool town to walk around a bit in and check out.

Sorry don't have recommendations for airbnb's there.

If you want to make it further, the Dalles and Hood river have some good options.

Not a place to stay but a cool place to check out across the river in WA on the way here or on the way out. It’s called Maryhill Stonehenge.

And a functional one. (Not hooked up yet) The top cut out is for a rocker switch for my compressor.
I got my house battery system all set up this weekend as well. It’s not pretty but it works. No idea what I was doing when I started this whole project but Version 2 is gonna be sick.

Looks great! I may try one of those online laser cut fab jobs. Do you have design files for these you'd be willing to share?

The panels were cut by my friend. I do not have the files, and I’d feel like a dick asking her for them. She has a small hobby business she’s trying to get up and going so she’s down to make them for anyone interested I’m sure.

A few photos from this weekend. Camping in the snow/cold weather is for sure always full of nuances to figure out. The main one I'm going to need to address is internal condensation. I've ordered a 12v van that many people use in their boats to mount on the ceiling and hopefully start to circulate the moist air out of the battens.

Has anyone figured out a good way to route wires "upstairs" yet?
