it doesn’t have to be towed tomorrow but some time this week.

    anybody have a recommendation?

Guessing the Subaru doesn't run and drive? Otherwise you could just have someone drive it...

It’s been sitting for 2+ years. Needs a couple oil flushes and I doubt the family wants me doing that in their front driveway

    A few things
Sign up for aaa plus ($91), it has free towing for up to 100 miles. Probably cheaper than calling a tow company and paying them.

Few dollars more and you can get a 200 mile tow. 4 service calls total for (only one 100-200 mile tow), tows 100 or less, lockouts, flat change, battery jump. You can still use a 100 or 200 mile tow for tow going beyond 100 or 200 miles, but you have to pay for the additional mileage rate set be the AAA contractor, but still a lot less than paying a separate company to tow the remaining miles.

That is true, but if the car is intact, and you don’t mention it’s a project car your good to go. The drivers want to get paid. They don’t get paid for turning down tows. But a completely gutted car is probably not going, especially if it’s a PIA to get on and off the truck (no steering, wheels locked up, missing wheels...).
