For this specific reason, I only use the HEX head bung plugs. Stainless. They seize in too easily. The Allen head ones seem to be too soft a steel. Stripped too many.

A torch on that plug maaaaaayyyy have helped. I have had to drill them out in the past. What a headache.

do you or anyone know which gasket to get? There is the o ring style and the flat “normal” looking gasket with the 2 bolt holes on opposite sides.

Napa auto has the o-ring style fel pro but has them in like 1.98” ID and 2.4” ID. I also don’t know which size as I’m out and about and not with the truck.

If I get a reply soon enough I can get it while I’m out (if not, no biggy).

    thanks

@SUMOTNK thanks. That 2.18” threw me for a loop as I hadn’t seen that dimension mentioned yet.

I think I’m gonna have to get my gauge out and see.

If it comes to that I’ll post the size up here so we’ll have it cataloged for the future

Two of those are in the manifold to y pipe connections and one of those goes in the y pipe. They should only be a couple of bucks, so I’d get two of each and compare them to the application. You are using these with stock manifolds and y pipe correct?

The remflex are good gaskets, but do they work for stock manifolds to y pipes?

@Skootter14 i dug my stock y pipe out of the shed. Apparently, im using some sort of crush gasket for the DT shorties+stock y-pipe and I'm using the urd gasket for the DT shorties+URD y-pipe.

I dont remember exactly but it must have to do with that stepped lip on the factory stuff. I took some photos and measurements.

    This should solve it:

1.98” should fit since OEM ID is that ^

Ok, i have totally confused myself in all this....

I have no idea who makes the crush gasket in my photos. Maybe its a factory toyota part? Whatever the case, it is working best for me for the DT shorties and stock y pipe.

And apparently, I'm using the urd crush gasket when i am using the DT shorties and urd y pipe. I'm assuming that i felt that was the best combo for sealing those two items.
    https://www.urdusa.com/urd-exhaust-collector-crush-gasket-each/

About the Remflex 7201 suggestion. I know ive purchased them and used them. But if i didnt settle with it, and went the route above...then i dont think i would use the remflex.

I swap out ypipes temporarily every two years cuz #CARB

Advance had these in stock so I’ll pick them up tomorrow. We’ll see if they work or not. If so, we’ll have a part number for future people as well. $5.99

Dont feel dumb haha...i think i spread a lot of misinformation/confusion this AM. I think you're on the right track measuring the pipes yourself etc

Cant wait for you to fire it up!
