Thanks. He’s a chip off of the old block. That means he’s going to play it up so his GF takes extra special care of him for a couple of months or so.

 

Did something happen or has he always had issues with it? My niece has had to have tubes I think 4 times now and she just has to be careful around water.

That’s what started it all a very long time ago. He ended up with a lot of scar tissue on his ear drum and now there were tiny bones degenerating that transmit sound. Loud noises caused great pain. He was going deaf in that ear but the dr. Is very confident that his hearing will be restored.

 

That's excellent news. My niece will probably be in the same boat in the future. With the amount of scar tissue build up I doubt they'd have any other choice if she we're to get another ear infection. Hope your son has a very successful recovery
