Looks like there is a version number on the circuit board to indicate latest revisions.

    Just an observation

You’re good. His were from the initial production run a few months ago. Everything I have now is fresh.

You are on the right track. The SS3 Sports in yellow are a far better option.

Welcome! Many non-Tacoma vehicles in this thread. Any pics of your arctic experience? Sounds like your headlights might need an upgrade as well, if you list what model truck/headlight you have I can toss some recommendations your way.

Thanks for clarifying. That’s what I assumed but you know how that saying goes :p

Will these be marked in some way to indicate the color change?

Installed Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro fogs this weekend. I have adjusted the angle of the fogs the best I could (following the 25ft and 4"down method) . Camera exposure is the same for all these photos. Purchased from user @memario1214 and his website https://hotshotoffroad.com/ !!!!!!!!!!

Well just measured the square hole in my bumper, the SS3s won't fit. I have at most 3 5/8" and the SS3s are 3.8". So that leaves me at $300 Rigid ambers or back to my original idea of Offroad Towns.

Or you just have the bezel of the SS3 sit directly behind/against the opening of the bumper. :notsure:

The openings might not point them in the right direction given whichever bumper you have, but just a thought?

Or make the openings larger. :sawzall: :D

But if staying with the size and traditional pods, I’d go with the Rigid selective yellow.

Mine don’t fit perfectly on the minivan. But they work well enough. I prefer a no cut option though if someone made a replacement plastic trim piece I’d buy it.

The lights themselves will fit, it's when you add the mounting bracket.

It's a metal bumper....kinda hard to cut when a square tube has been welded in.

How would the SSc2 compare when ordering the SAE Fog option in yellow?

Compared to what... The SS3? The output pattern will effectively be the same, but from an aesthetic perspective I'm hesitant to put a rectangle in a square hole, but to each their own?

Which SS3 would you go with if you did them?

Yes compared to the SS3s. Aesthetically, I really don't care.
If I can get similar performance as the SS3s at half the cost of Rigids, I'm ok with putting a rectangle in a square hole. I was looking at the SS3 Sports in SAE fog.

Well I think that you're going to run into the same issue as the SSC2 is the same size width-wise as the SS3.

    stage_series_c2_led_pod_dimensoinal_drawing_b.jpg

Any thought to going with a flush-mount?

The square tubes are angled so flush mount won't work. I'm fine width wise, the square tube has an ID of 3 5/8". It's the height of the SS3 with the bracket that won't fit.
Also, what's with the amber backlighting? What is it for?

The backlighting is for you to accumulate "Overland Points" which can be redeemed for Instagram likes.

But seriously... No functional purpose unless you make a purpose for them. They look really cool though.

The lights will fit. Make new brackets.

Think of something, draw it up, mock it with cardboard, have a fab shop cut it out.

    Zero height S2 brackets:

    Layback driving light mounts:

Easy peasy. Plan, draw, mess up a few times, readjust, execute.

Install behind the hole, cut hole larger, or have them stick thru the hole. I made a bracket and have them sticking thru on my wife pathfinder
