I mentioned to Deb that we could move down here and I could get an air boat and run tours (so I had excuse to get a new toy) bit she said NO Way. Ears are still ringing from that NO. It was fun.

Good morning everyone. It's a chilly 4F here this morning and getting colder for another few hours until the sun comes up. Got another 1/2" of snow overnight - should melt except in front of the garage where it doesn't get sun this time of year. No plans for today.

    Stay warm and safe!!

If the vaccine is two shots, protocol is to keep your second shot in house for you, only releasing it, if you do not show up for your second appointment.

This worked perfectly for us.

Up here since we are so restricted on the amount we get, they released the second dose to
Distribute to get more people the first shot. So far as I know when the time came for the second
Dose it was available. Wifey had no issue.

    Good morning all,

Slept in, the dogs let us because we had visitors late last night - pack of yote's working what I assume was a doe. This morning as I was getting the dogs ready (OK getting my winter clothes on) to go out there was two parades of turkey's the Tom's were first and some were sitting on our split rail fence. While walking the second parade began with the females coming up the road. Went back in and got my camera, by the time I came back out half of them passed.

Compared to most we had a balmy 30 degrees this morning. Still waiting for the email to go and get our first shot. Read that our county has a shortage of the C19 vaccine. In Maryland you can sign up via a state website when the sign up for your group opens up. Then you receive confirmation from the county that you are in fact registered. Next step is for the county to contact you to set up an appointment for the shot.

The way government works, I wouldn't rely on that system. Surprisingly, though, during a routine VA appointment, i asked to get on the list. Two days later, I was called to come in for my shot. Very organized, no waiting at all, same thing three weeks later for my second shot. Also not bad for my wife at her clinic, although I had a very long hold on the phone to set it up. Her second shot is next week.

    Good morning

Wife's home and I must of did good on keeping up with things around the house. I didn’t get the rolled eyes when we walked into the house last night. She had a long day yesterday so I let her sleep in. I enjoy spoiling her....
Going to burn a good sized brush pile today before we loose the snow. Feel free to bring a couple beers and a chair. We’ll make a bonfire out of it.

    Be good

After hearing about all these huge (unregulated) power bills hitting Texans, I will never complain about my City supplied and regulated power. Thinking about that, I don't think I've ever complained about our gas - from a real supplier that owns the process parts and services.

I worked for an outfit building substations for utility companies for awhile. You would not believe the waste of money these companies not only tolerated but encouraged. There are some companies that it seems the more they can pay out, the more they can justify rate increases, the more they can put in their back pocket. Kinda like insurance companies...

I liked when energy companies said they needed to raise prices when energy conservation was big because we weren’t using enough electricity and profits were down and they couldn’t afford maintaining equipment.

    Afternoon all:
There always seems to be an excuse to raise prices, I don't think the futures market helps either!
Just saw where they are considering adding a toll on a bridge just north of me on I-80, Pa has one of the highest gas taxes in the nation, if not the highest, but there is still a need to do that, they were also talking about making some of the interstates toll roads.
What did Mother Teresa say-----"keep giving until it hurts"!
