You should be able to - Caster helps with clearance, but isn't everything. Pushing that rear cam out will do a lot more than adding 4 degrees of caster. But balancing both out and keeping camber in mind too will work! I am 3.5 drivers, 4.2 passenger, 0.0 camber L & R. Regular toe-in. I have SPC's on position D, camber adjusted at home.

Alpine offroad offers a cab mount relocation kit that significantly improves your clearance. A bit more involved to install but it's a really good option.

nice kit but I like Lil B's a bit more. It has more contact points to the frame. I installed this before the tires went on.20210130_123553.jpg

Do you recommend using SPC Cam Alignment Bolts (#25440) or is there enough adjustment with the factory bolts? Thanks

There should be enough adjustment from the factory bolts but every little bit helps. I’ve never used alignment bolts but I’ve seen other applications use them with success

took her out for a run, and definitely still rubs lol. Not unbearable, but I will cut my fenders in a few weeks and try to tweak the alignment one more time.20210206_113241.jpg

So one other question I think you may have the answer to.

My wheels are zero offset and I have considerable rub at the UCA.
It looks like I am not rubbing on the CMC though.

I’m looking to add spacers to help clear the UCA.
Will I be in danger of rubbing the cab mount the further out I push the wheel?
So basically, will a 1.25” spacer put me closer to the cab mount than a .75” spacer?

    Thanks.

Yes, when you push the wheel outward you move closer to the fenders and cab mount. I'm not sure how much rubbing on the UCA you have but you may only need a small spacer. What is the wheel backspacing?

    The backspacing is 4.5”

I was considering going with the .375” spacer but I’d have to replace my existing wheel studs. If I go with the .75” spacers, I wouldn’t have to replace the studs.

    Well fuck.
I had an appointment this Friday to get my CMC done but with that being said, I know I could get up in there with a cutoff wheel...hmmmmm

If you’ve cut metal with a cutoff wheel you can do it. Took me about 1.5 hours each side with the grinder. So maybe plan just plan on doing 1 on the first day and see.

    Definitely sand and paint after.

After a little thought, and I mean little, I think I'll just keep the apt and let them do it.
I canceled my last appointment (Did it my self and covered the cost of this https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-XTR...nWGe42Ltz4yyIZXarXcaAkj7EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds ) to let them put my Dakars on so I don't want to be that guy who cancels two in a row.

Does anyone know where to get that thin black fender trim people are putting on after cutting the fenders?
    I'm guessing it's either this https://www.amazon.com/Trim-Lok-Edg...ocphy=1025920&hvtargid=pla-306247472525&psc=1 or this https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p...JI7dBkSlZ30nJn0Of9saAl02EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

That trimlok one is the brand I got. Works well. I suggest tin snips or something similar to cut it.

And as far as your cab mount I’d go aggressive as possible with the cut.

I’m gonna have to do mine again because I cut it before I got my tires. Once I got them on, they rub pretty bad. Save yourself from having to do it twice and take off as much as possible.

I’m going to re do my cab mount hopefully something similar to this.

The guy who had this CMC said this is Califabbed’s work up here in Sacramento. Looks really good and what I wish I would have done.
