MISSISSIPPI let's see them

Yep, Feb 1st it was over. Ended January 31st.
We do go and let the kids squirrel hunt every year in late Feb.

 

Took this right before the weather hit.

 

How all y'all making it up north? Looks like anything above Jacktown is a frozen wonder/wasteland.

 

Well, we got about 6-8 inches in Hernando (total combo from Sunday through Wednesday). Now everything is a sheet of ice on the roadways as it's starting to melt (and refreeze). 55 and 69 have at least one working lane in either directions. Most of the main streets in town are clear (except for a few parts).

Overall, we never lost power. My family did turn a few things off and reduced the heat to help Entergy prevent a rolling blackout in the area.

But in total summation:

I. Am. Over. Winter.

I'm ready for the warm, humid days. I like winter for about 2 weeks, and then ready for warm weather again.

 

Everything in Starkville is thawed except for what is in the shade. Standing water will keep refreezing overnight and be ice in the morning till the sun is up and it has a chance to thaw. We got around 3" of ice/sleet Sunday then 1/2" or so of freezing rain Wednesday. I know a few people that lost power but I never did.

Disadvantage to post-covid school is all classes were just switched to online instead of being canceled all week.

I can OVTune. Carthage, MS. Half hour north of Jackson.

 

If anyone wants to set up a "Tune meet" in Mississippi, I would love to.
I could drive over on a Saturday or Sunday and tune a bunch of trucks with my custom tune.

Just let me know.

 

That could be a possibility. Although I am interested in doing it myself and messing around with my wife's Highlander too.

I know the OVtune site update was supposed to make it easier to use, but I'm still confused on what I would need to do it myself.

I am staying on the version that I have for now. I know how to use it and it works for me.
It cost about $800 to get his software (registered) and the 2.0 base tunes for your truck.
Each additional ECU has to be unlocked ($$) and each additional tune pack costs $$.

$250 is a cheap price to get it done by someone. I would have done it that way if that was available a few years ago. I have a lot of money invested in tuning now! LOL

 

Still loving my custom tune!!! Trust me @PapaRee is very knowledgeable with tuning these trucks, I am so glad I did not purchase OV Tune for my self, like he said $250.00 is a great deal. Just my opinion..

If you're looking for OVTune, @PapaRee can do it. Met him myself in Natchez. I know it's a bit of a small drive, but super great fella! And gives you an excuse for a road trip. Nice truck though!

 

Now I "know" some LE in Brandon.... I"m in Carthage.

 

Tuned @sebooher95 this morning. He's running @PapaRee's KDMax 6.0 now. Also updated his ECU.

Just making my way through this thread as I spend an ever increasing amount of time in Mississippi. My family has land in Edinburg so I'm out there all the time. If you ever want to hit some trails or anything I'll let you know the next time I'm out there.
