True. Were you just rubbing on mud flaps? Or were you rubbing on UCAs?

Getting 275/70/17 C load Wildpeaks installed tomorrow with some SCS Ray10s. Currently on 265/70/17 E load KO2s and the TRD pro wheels. Wanted a bit more offset, bigger tire, and a C rating but didn't want to go all the way to 285 and have to cut/regear. Excited to get some firsthand exprience with the Wildpeaks so I can compare them to the KO2s.

Do you have any pics with the 265 KO2s?

275/70 17s went on at the same time as new UCAs, so my rubbing was on wheel wells every time I turned... I was able to remedy with a heat gun, but that almost certainly wouldn't have been the case without the new UCAs.

Hey fellas, another (maybe dumb) question is can I mount rims with a 108 mm centre bore or do I have to stick to the Tacoma stock 106.1?

They will probably bolt up fine assuming the lug pattern is correct, but vibration may be a problem if the wheels are hub centric. If they are lug centric, I'm not sure how reliable that will be with the Toyota hubs. Hopefully someone with more hub/wheel knowledge will offer some info.

Right, makes sense. I'm just trying to pair up some rims and tires properly, and it looks like you're able to get 275s on 7" rims without any rubbing, but it's hard to find 17x7s with the 6x139 bolt pattern that isn't the TRD pro wheel. Otherwise I wonder if I could go to an 8 inch rim with 265s.

Yeah I figured. Hard to find aftermarket rims that are 17x7" right now. At least in Canada. Might have to settle with the TRD pros. They do look nice.

You guys think that 275/70/17 will fit on just a level kit in a 3rd gen Tacoma?

Yes, as long as your choose the right wheels, that don’t poke out too far.

17” rims come in many widths. The safest bet is the 7” wide TRD 4Runner “sema” rims. Other, wider rims might need some further study to see if they will cause rubbing. The SEMA rims work with the 275/70/17 tire in most cases.

can you post some pics after install and possibly inform if you are rubbing, offset? Looking to get Ray 10s at -10 offset or F5 at a 0 offset With a 275 tire trying to avoid a CMC, going to install a 2.5-3 inch dobinson mrr lift soon to fit the tires. Thanks

They will fit without any modification as long as its 7.5 or 7in rim

Without any modification? That's a 32.2 inch tire, even on stock rims that will rub bad without anything lifted in the front.

I checked 275/70/17 at full stuff when I was changing struts and I had clearance when on the bump stop. With bumps compressed, maybe it rubs somewhere, but it won't be "bad". That was on 4runner sema wheel with camburg UCA, but no wheel well interference as far as I could tell.

I have 275/70/17 BFG Ko2 on 4Runner Sema wheels and no rub anywhere, even at full stuff. It’s the “unicorn tire” only on a 7” rim with minimal offset like the Semas.

I see. I thought you meant no modification as in no level kit
