if the toyflash 1.3.2 works fine, then im ok with that.

Will I jumped in! The only thing for me was confusing was when the tune was finally loaded a message popped up saying process complete turn off power which I did. The loading tune screen was still there with the green bar not fully completed. At the bottom of the loading screen green bar said programming IN progress! I waiting 3 minutes and the screen was still there SO I hit the X button so it disappeared then started the truck. Took it for a test drive all was good!

 

Same here . I hit the X button and good to go . Truck runs fine.

 

Since I'm 04A61 and that has been "special" in the past, I tried. Same issue you're having. I was able to register my ECU just fine, it fails at Step 11 with the same error you described.

My window will look exactly like the attachment but the the bar at the bottom won’t move and then I get the error.

 

You get further than I do.

 

Can someone verify for me

if I buy the software and the cable will the cable it comes with also do TSB updates with tactrix? Or do I need the tactrix cable as well? Or is that the adapter I saw on the forums that is in short supply?

 

That’s what I get. I was just using that screenshot from the instructions as a reference that all the “tests” say passed.

I just noticed it has strep 12 and 13 in there. Sorry for the confusion. Mine only gets to 11

 

No worries - I realized after I posted that yours was a screen grab from the website instructions. We can still flash the "old" way, so not a big deal.

 

All of you guys getting this error are on 04A61 ECU?

yes it is.



A new version will be available in a moment and we will be including the newest tactrix drivers with it

 

looking at it, and not fully testing it.

it looks like you can use the old flasher with the VFT files without any internet connection??

but the moment you save a new file or export it, it changes to VFC which appears to require the new flasher with internet required

you can select a VFC file with the old flasher by changing the file type at the bottom right of the window from encrypted to all, not sure if that will work though.

if all of that is true/correct then there is nothing stopping anyone from flashing any of the VFT files that are circulating.

 

WiFi over my cell phone is the only way I can get internet to my truck for Preparing the ECU part. Safe?

 

VFC files are not compatible with the old flasher.

New version will be available in 15 mins or so.

In the "help" menu, you'll see " Driver Installer"

where you can load the driver installation tool and update to the latest drivers.

also should fix your flashing errors.
