I can't find any confirmation. But I believe he will be retiring at the end of the season.

Still hoping to see Kyle run the Indy 500 double. But last season it was in doubt due to not having a car available and then COVID hit. I just don't know if it is going to happen.

Him and Kevin are the longest tenured drivers... the last from the early 2000s.

Last I recall he signed a 2-year extension because he wants to try the new cars for a season before hanging it up.

Kevin, Kurt and Ryan Newman are the last of the drivers that raced during the winston cup era.

Rain was a pretty good reason. Plus, I like Elliott not being up front.

When you throw a caution for rain and zero cars put on rain tires it is a BS caution.

Not really. They decided to risk it. Made the rest of the race very interesting as opposed to the Chase Elliott snoozefest

That is my point man. The sanctioning body is not their to “make it interesting” LOL. I mean if you hate Chase I get it but I doubt this would be your opinion had your boy been out front.

    There*

"My boy" has been screwed over many times, but it happens. The rain caution was literally no different than when they've thrown it at other tracks and never even so much as brought out the jet dryers or air titans. It was still a safety concern, and as you saw, it did rain a little more later on. Not enough to matter, but enough to notice.
