3 inch lift on my 1996 tacoma 4x4

I don’t, I have stock. Another option is to get 882s just incase you don’t get the bumper but if you do end up getting it down the line then you can always swap for 883s and sell/keep 882s for spares.

 

@taco terror its an sr5 with auto hubs. I use 4wd alot in the winter and I ride dirtbikes so it will be used quite frequently.

 

@Logans2001 I think I'll do that and just do there mods before the bumper and get the 883s when the time comes lol. Thank you for the help

There are a lot of alternatives too, I have bilstein 5100s with eibach (from Toytec) coils. My rear lift is a wheelers offroad 6 leaf pack and the truck sits a little higher in the front. I bought those leaf springs 6 years ago so it may have been discontinued.

You will also likely want to buy axle degree shims, a BPV relocation bracket, and extended rear brake line.

 

^^^. BPV relocation bracket is VERY helpful.

I tried installing my extended rear brake line but ended up stripping the nut and it being probably seized anyways. I was able to just bend the bracket that it’s attached to downwards to give the stock line more slack so I ended up not needing the new line. Just be careful. If you can remove the stock line then definitely replace it with the extended so try that first.

 

Aren't those 620lb springs? Doesn't it ride stiff.

 

The kit I'm buying comes with brake lines so that's a plus. The what BVP should I go with. Probably doesn't matter but just wanna hear what ya got

 

Yes it is a stiff ride, I should have probably went with a lighter coil but that is 6 years too late haha. My WRX rides even stiffer though.

You could honestly make your own, but that one linked above looks good.

 

Cause even at 2.25" of lift, they love to tear -

Could you measure your coilover for me? I seem to be topping out on these kings over speed bumps. Measure from the top of the shock to the bottom bolt pleasse

 

I would normally oblige in providing any info I can, but at the moment it would be irrelevant.

My coilovers are compressed slightly due to the weight of my vehicle. You've got a Tacoma whereas I have a 4Runner; my truck weighs more than yours.

I will say I have the extended variants and have 10 threads exposed.

 

Well it’s suppose to be at 2.5 right now but I talked to king and it has to much preload

 

I had about 11 threads exposed when I got my Kings -



As you can see I bought them new. They had preload for 2.5" of lift for a 4x4 Tacoma/4Runner

 

I bought mine used but rebuilt. We’re on a 4 runner though

 

Go back to the important details I gave you; how many threads are exposed?

And confirm your springs by looking at what's labeled on them (weight rating/length).

I'm running 14/600lb springs.
