i have a soft spot for the taco front end on a 3rd gen.


that front end, armored up and army green bedliner.. that would be quite the "overlanding" rig for me.

 

Now I need to see a 95-97 Taco front end on the 4Runner.

 

you know.. i dont think i've ever seen that done... and now you have me curious

what really needs to happen is me get something that i DONT dump tons of money into on body work so im NOT afraid to fuck it up.

did a lot till i parked the truck... actually did enough to crack the coil on the donahoe shocks and i did start to crack the strut tower on the passenger side. but meh.... Never blew a cv axle though @eon_blue

 

I've been at a standstill with the winter storm. It warmed up Friday and the snow and ice melted. But I decided to work overtime Friday-Sunday to get back 4 days of missed work.

The objective tomorrow is hopefully washing all the salt off my double cab. City is begging us to not wash cars until our storage tanks fill up again. With all the main breaks we were almost completely out of water.

 

well i have motor mounts coming. i need to figure out how to get my diff cleaned up and painted, (because the front diff wont fit in the blaster) and then im just waiting for axles. past that i MIGHT put the engine on without the trans. but i'll probably wait for that to be done

 

In his defense, he doesn't break them or anything.

He sure loves tearing cv axle boots though like they owe him money

 

i did one set of boots at 275k miles. only reason was the clamp finally failed. with 2.2" of lift in the front end since 2006 at 140ish k miles they survived well. granted when my pops had it it didnt go offroad much. but i took it out quite a bit in highschool
