Is it possible to mount 6" round lights on the A-pillar? I'm not into the square ones that everyone mounts to the hood. I have been trying to find out if you can mount the round ones just to the body some how. Anyone know of any that have been done this way?

Well I was looking for something more like what Jeeps have. I'm not looking to be making holes in my pillar.

how else would you attached something to the A-pillar? It's a smooth surface with no mounts on there.

Why not mount a round to a hood bracket? You just need a bracket forward enough to not cause issues when opening the hood, but it can be done.

You mean like a ditch light?

    They sell brackets for that.

Yes, that's what I've decided on. Sometimes I think I'm gonna reinvent the wheel, just for fun. Hood brackets will do fine.

Ok, here is the finished project. I'm still working on finding the switch I want in the dash, so I still have the cheesy one that came with the KC Slimlite LED. But they fit nicely on the hood brackets. There is a small amount of wobble, but I think that will be fixed with better hardware.

I'm a bit late to this thread, but one alternative to this I've been looking at for a while now is the Whelen Arges.

    https://www.whelen.com/product/all/arges-remote-spotlight/

It's meant to be mounted to the fender with a hole drilled through the side, but I think if you got it with just the flat base you might be able to mount it to a ditch light bracket. It's a little more money than I want to spend on a spotlight right now, but I can't find anyone else who has tried it yet so I might have to take one for the team and be the first to try it out.
