100% this. It is the stupidest fucking technology Ive ever seen. On the taco it stops you like 500 yards from the car in front of you and you can never pass. Its worthless tech that just makes the cars more expensive, add it to the list.

Hate to be a grumpy bitch, but this is ABSURD and not needed on a "common joe sled". Like, how many people have killed themselves in trees in my county alone this winter?

These sleds ain't gonna lower that trend. I'm sure @jethro does it right, but lots of these guys are wasted going 100 mph on 8 foot trails and not worrying about whats around the corner..

I only ride public trails at night.

That's what I thought. Screw that! I do like these automatic highbeams on the F150. But I didn't realize how fuel efficient the GMC was. Go figure, the least horsepower in the biggest V8 of them all and it gets the best fuel mileage!

Funny story about the new truck.. I am sure many of you have vehicles with push button start and a fob.. Well I rode my sled to Pittsburg last week and had the girls drive the truck up. So I took my fob with my house key on my sled with me and gave the girls my spare fob. I left my sled up north but drove home with the spare fob by accident so my house keys stayed up north. Needless to say it was a real fun way to get home last night at 9pm... that wouldn't have happened with real keys in the ignition!

I'll try to get the glass, it's an insulated door and it's safety glass so my guess is I will pay $120 for the door slab with glass or $118 for just the piece of glass...

That sled is no where near the fastest sled on the market, and all these sleds are WAY slower than they used to be 20 years ago. Hell, my sled has 20 more HP than that fucking thing.

It does go to show you how easy it is to get into a house if one were so inclined, even with the doors locked. I really do think locking the doors is just a piece of mind thing, realistically it's not stopping anyone from getting in.

You wouldn't have said that when I almost broke my tire iron trying to smash the door glass. Almost thought I was going to have to use my 9mm on it.

For real? That's crazy to me.

I get the guys in canada and up north or MI with the huge trail systems, but its like an RZR around here, there is LITERALLY not a single place you can hit the top speeds or even close.

Maaaybe on a lake I guess.

I'm really embracing the old and slow, small and simple as I get a little older. I appreciate pushing tech and experiences to the edge...just not sure I'm there anymore:anonymous:

Yes - I have done an outlet install myself and a few switches. I have full confidence I can do it safely, and to code. But since it's with the boiler, I don't want to tempt fate especially since we may sell soon. If it's in the 250$ range to just pop an outlet there, I'm up for paying someone else and getting documentation for "officialness". Asked on my local FB page and a few electricians are trying to sell me on transfer boxes and whatnot. depends on the price gap if the transfer switch is only 100$ more - F it. I can hook it to my A/C in the summer too if needed

I really liked it in a sedan rental. Enough that it was a "need" on my next vehicle. Fortunately it's on all the tacoma trims. But yeah - now that I have it....it's a flashy gimmick. I drove cross country, I used it and it was nice for ~15 minutes of use that I would have otherwise needed to touch my CC, otherwise, standard CC would have been A okay. :notsure:. If I got another sedan anytime I'd like it though.

The Tacoma one is funny. You pull out to pass and it hammers the F down if the gap between current speed and set speed is more than 2 or 3 mph.

I don't mind the auto highbeam in the tacoma but never use it. I have used it a few times on back roads but 99% of my driving is on roads with streetlights now :notsure:

I realized the other day that I only have the garage door opener to get in and out. If the power is out I'm stuck outside. o_O gotta stash a house key in my truck somewhere or hidden outside.

Maybe I’m the minority but I like the adaptive cruise control. In case you’re not aware the following distance can be adjusted.

I had it on the lowest setting. Total shit tech, i'm firm on my stance.

as an edit, I live in a rural area and very rarely use CC, and only tried 2-3 times on the taco when I had it, maybe it needs to calibrate or something no idea. Its just a feature that has 0 use for me, and never will.

You have two options in the taco, regular and the automatic. So at least they do give you a good option!

I have one of those on my front door. The only issue is the dog jumps against the door to get in because she discovered that if wacks the door handle she can get the front door to open. Unfortunately she's also worn all the numbers off the keypad rendering it almost useless. It's pretty nice though when you can recall which numbers go on which keypads.
