I think some heat and force will push the fender liner back. But I have not done a cmc myself so let these guys fill you in

Let him give it a shot should work like people said before if it’s in a thicker part. Grinder may be required.

Just grab a box cutter with a fresh blade, find where it's rubbing on the plastic, and cut the plastic off. Shouldn't take very long at all. I say box cutter because it leaves a clean edge. When done correctly, you can't even tell it's done.

Did you get wheel spacers too? 285/75/16 will rub on the upper control arms with the stock wheels from my experience.

If it's just plastic - just start cutting like others have said. Usually mudflaps need to be trimmed along with the front outer corners of the fender liners where they meet the front bumper.

Here are some pics. Hard to see any evidence of rubbing. I’m assuming it’s rubbing on the part of the fender closest to the wheel.

no spacers. Rubbing on the upper control arms is concerning. When it does rub it sounds like it’s rubbing on plastic. Could be wrong tho so we will check the upper control arms.

It will rub the black paint off after awhile on the control arms. its not going to hurt them but obviously it shouldn't do that. You can also buy chalk paint stuff that you can rub on the various places to see where its rubbing

Heat gun to reshape fender liners, cut hard plastic such as the fender flares, get an alignment with caster MAXED out, and then when you decide to leave pavement and go wheeling on the slickrock get a CMC and hammer your pinch weld (chances are you will rub these when flexing your suspension offroad and metal doesn't give like plastic does)

Is this all new for the newer gens? I had a 2005 and threw some 33s on there with I believe a spacer lift when I was 18 and offroaded the shit out of it. rubbed on control arm and that was it. Didn't do any chops or cuts etc.

Every truck is slightly different from the factory but what I mentioned above is what the majority of people have to do to fit 33s without rubbing. Also, at 18 you probably had the music up too loud to hear the rubbing

haha I was probably making bad decisions and the music up and didn't care. I only remember hearing it "shudder" on full lock when trying to reverse or something. and I was like "meh, its metal it will be fine"
