Skip breaks stuff because he is 100% wide open all the time.

He would break a Sterling 10.5 ring gear if he had one of those in his truck.

Gear selection with matching the front. 60 only has 4.88s as the lowest that matches the yota front diff. You could probably get away with running a 5.38 rear and 5.29 front. Not a full floater still uses factory axles unless you upgrade in which they modify 35 spline axles to accept the OE flange to hold the axle in. Like trey said COST.

The dodge 3/4 dodge run a full float 60 with 65 WMS to WMS downside is 8 lug and having to put all the brackets on to put under the truck.

There is about 1000 ways to skin this cat and that is a really good viable option.

Pros is the # of aftermarket lockers available especially the OX which can have a mechanical backup to lock the rear.
This is true me and Jeff were talking about this and lockers breaking front CVs. The lockers don't do it we do it because we do things that most wouldn't full lock steering climbing and getting a little bounce pop goes the axle.

In my defense to breaking a sterling 10.5 is it's arguably a little weaker than a 60

I'm not wide open all the time just depends on what it is. Trail 15 and some of the more technical stuff in which I can crawl that's what I do. I'm just not afraid to use throttle and wheel speed.

What all did you hit. The N side I want to see more of and run more of the trails up there where Carrieville flats are. It's a long ride to get there.

Unless you get some more power you don't want to turn that 4banger back into a pig with big heavy tires. You'll be surprised how much you'll be able to do with your set up.

Just FYI Nitro is typically heavier compared to their counterparts. You can get away with a C or D load range often they are a few lbs lighter than an E load range.

33 inch ridge grap is 62 pounds. Its because its a hybrid and not a mud. The trail grap in 33 is 70

It does take a hot minute to get up there, especially if you're with a big group of people...

day 1 we hit trail 2, to G1 to 34 to G3 to G1 to 11 then G1 to G9 up to the overlook then back to camp

day 2 we hit G1 to G20 to G37 to G33 to 83 to G6 then pavement to the train and came up G7 back into the park to the overlook and back to camp

Yeah we did it 2 of us in just about 1:30 but we were haulin' ass. That included a stop at the devils elbow. I can't remember how we went to the trains I think it'e g7 that dumps out right there at them correct? I know people were saying when we went that the trail that dumps out at them was extremely washed out so we went pavement. My avatar has us at the train

Yes so with the trail you are getting more side wall protection and stuff along with that. If you jump up to 17" wheels the weights of the tires comes down and the wheel weights are very close. My wheels in a 16 are the same weight essentially, but a 17 trail grap is 4lbs lighter.

That would be @ovrlndkull and he shattered the ring gear and bent his axle tube.

Hey I got some redneckin' engineering to get it bent close to back where it was. Just need this rain to stop. Thank goodness I have a full spare axle ready to slide in
