Cowl intake *SOLD*

I ran this less than 6 months and went back to my safari snorkel. Nothing wrong with it, worked as it should. Just wanted my snorkel back on.
I made the “air divider” out of aluminum. Pipe is 3” aluminum
The divider mounts to the holes that are already on the cab Intake shroud. $50

How much more noise did you get in the cab?

 

What happens if water gets in there?

 

There was minimal noise.

And for water, I never had a problem with water.

I mainly did it because I cut my fenders and don’t have liners anymore. But either way it gets the intake much higher than the factory intake inside the fender.

 

I just worry about the snow we get here getting in there and going down the intake

 

The snow wouldn’t ever get in your intake because the snow would melt and the water would drain underneath the cowl. That’s why you want to drill the hole for the cowl to go into as high as possible

Is the snorkel you bought, never put on sold, rebought back off the same member you sold it too... took off, went cowl, then put it back on?

Just making sure I got this down right!

 

I first bought it from a member in Australia, It went on to another member, they took it off and then i bought it back, sold it, bought back and never put on and re sold it today.

Ok so I actually went snorkel !! And installed for a year!! . Took snorkel off sold it to member. Went cowl. Took cowl off, bought snorkel back from member. Put snorkel BACK on. Now I’m selling cowl.

 

Now I have a big dent in my new snorkel fender.
