It’s a tough call on the 940s. From what I’ve seen on the Facebook sale groups and Reddit knife swap, the limited/exclusives hold their values the best. And the less amount of exclusives made for a model the more it will rise in price. I just paid $600 for an exclusive 940 model that Benchmade only made 1000 of.
On the other hand I’ve seen people sell 940-1s for under $200 and base 940s for under $100

I’m still waiting on it. Shipped USPS last week and we got hit with a nasty Ice/snow storm here in Tulsa. It’s the 940DLC-1802 SMKW exclusive. M390 blade steel with red infused carbon fiber handle.

 

This is my new work tool. As a Control Systems Engineer I find myself in the plant troubleshooting issues quite a bit. It is not my job to physically fix wiring or tubing, but lots of time it’s a quick fix that I can do instead of waiting on a tech. I don’t like carrying any tool except for my Tweaker driver, so I hope this leatherman will do me well.

I sent a mel pardue 3550 to a buddy in Alaska years back, spring broke...

 

Get at Benchmade for warrenty repair.

 

He mentioned sending it to benchmade... is Alaska so bend over for shipping.
Just thought i might get it for less, Oregon, and send it with something else.

 

You could always disassembled it yourself. Measure the torsion spring and find what you may need on knife maker sites like knifekits.com.

 

You can send it to Benchmade or you can buy the parts directly from them. Send an email to customer service. They'll take care of you.

For how slim & lightweight it is, it's quite comfortable. The grind is so thin, it's a damn slicer!

That’s a Cyro 2 by Kershaw of course made of 8cr13mov.... which takes a great edge but can be a little soft though Kershaw does a decent job heat treating...in my experience...
