    Earlier 2nd gens had issues with the pumps dying, or the valves being stuck open/closed. Replacing the components was always super expensive, for a system that only runs fir a few seconds on a cold start. Many opted to bypass it either to avoid replacing the components, or avoid issues down the road.

    Turbo headers for our trucks have no provisions for the SAIS, which is why we remove them.
    I'd only bypass it if you started having issues with the system. No other reason to.

    I put in a support ticket with @OVTune to see if I send him my ecu if he can add it in to vftuner. Fingers crossed he says yes since the truck is gonna be down for another two weeks or so while the motor is being rebuilt :)

    I hope he is up for it, I would rather tune the stock ecu vs trying to piggyback or go fullsend haltech.

    Is there a Jumper harness from URD available? If going down that whole route, and URS or UniChip have a harness, then you have more options. Including being able to 'revert to stock'

    I think Gadget sells a harness for the mapecu3 with his supercharger kit. Not going to like I was going to call and ask him if I could purchase that and his intercooler piping but I would rather not if I don’t have to. It looks like ovtune is going to be a go so that is very exciting news! I wouldn’t have any issue running a haltech if they had a way to still have the obd2 emissions systems checkable but as far as I am aware thats not something they have available. Which is understandable since most people wouldn’t care to have that with a full aftermarket ecu. I know Gadget isn’t very keen on selling bits of his kits either so I think ovtune is the best route for me currently. Call it a stage 1 setup if you will haha.
