What is the advantage of these vs the OEM wheels?

Here are a few differences between OEM's that some may say are an advantage:

    1. Wider wheels allow for large tire sizes (OEM: 7" vs FSW: 8.5")
    2. Lighter than OEM's by about 3 lbs
    3. More concave profile
    4. +0 and -10 offset push out wheel towards fender giving more aggressive stance/look
    5. No dust cap fitment issue for 4x4 models
    6. Various finishes available

    Being "that guy" :anonymous:

These are considerably more than the early estimates (of $680-$750) at $870 for a set of 4, and the most expensive 17" TRD reps on your site. Any reason for the increase? I guess if you hit 30+ pre-orders the price does get into the top range of the estimate, but still more than I guess I was expecting. For me, if they were in that original estimated range it's a no brainer :spending:

Totally a valid question/concern! Being completely honest, I had forgotten to take into account these are "Flow Formed" construction compared to our previous cast version which I had based my initial estimates at. Not to mention, we've had a volatile market with raw material and freight pricing increasing in recent weeks. That said, we felt $870 for a set of 4 (including shipping) would allow us to have enough margin while still being cheaper than an OEM set.

I asked this question over on the 4Runner forum as well but you guys are much faster at answering lol but I am very interested in these. I'm not the most knowledgeable on wheels and I'm wondering which offset would work the best. I have a 19 Pro 4Runner and the only suspension mod I've done is the Eibach Pro spring lift. I'm on 285s and everything fits great now. Don't want to mess that up. Thanks!

depends on the look you want. to stick out past the fenders more or less. -10 is def past the fenders and 0 is right at or a little past

So, if I am following this correctly, these rims should fit a 2021 Tacoma off road AND a 2019 4Runner off road?
I am considering a set of satin black on my Cement Tacoma and a set of Gun Metal for my wife's Magnetic Gray Metallic 4Runner.

Yes they will fit perfectly. On 265's, the sidewall will be just outside the fender but the treads will be perfectly flush. Even if its a 17x8.5 -10, the difference will be negligible. Its less than .5" between the 0 and -10 offset. Don't let this deter you in any way. Disregard the post above that the difference will be noticeable.

Lol. It is noticeable depending on what you want. Half an inch outside the fender looks like shit to some people

    Hey guys,

Would love to get your input on the following details. The "Current Black Finish" pictured below technically falls more on the "Matte Black" scale and we were wondering if you guys would like to have a bit more of a sheen to the wheel to give it more of that "Satin Black" look (see Example of Satin Black Finish)? These are minor details, but figured we would post the question and get your feedback before finalizing production.

    Current Black Finish:

Nah. The current finish on the new wheels rocks in my opinion.

Appreciate the quick responses! One thing to note is that Satin Black is a bit easier to keep clean, but if you like that slightly "dirty" look, then Matte Black might be the way to go.

    You're welcome!

Hell. I struggle with clear coated alloys.

But, I have heard that folks are diggin' ceramic coatings. That might be the way to go? @Unchained 5150 cleaned up a set of Stock T4R wheels and they looked stellar when he was done.

You really do notice the details between the two finishes in person and especially in the sunlight.
