My truck was three years old, and they were selling almost the exact same truck as mine for $100 more than when I bought it.

I never have that luck trade in time...

They listed my 2009 for 3K more than I paid for it 1.5 years and 17K miles later, and I'm sure they got it. Now that said I traded it in in ALOT better shape than I bought it, minus the frame...

Hi guys! Using my truck for work and have been thinking of modding it up, searching for ideas. Firstly, I wanted to ask if something catastrophic could happen by overloading it. I want to make the payload a bit stronger. I usually have about 4000 lbs on the rack, or about 3000 if I'm just using the bed. (5500 max if both).
I have 3500lbs in this pic (weighed on scale)

That’s what they were built for, most people just don’t know how to use them.

Umm...well. This is mostly stock truck thread. Not much help with modding.

    But welcome

I have an iron works company in NYC, I've dealt with 1 too many F-250s breaking down. Thought I would start experimenting with a taco, so far loving it. Just worried about the actual weight capacity. So far it's held up to 3 tons, but gets kinda weird on the highways

Yeah...that's WAY over it's rated capacity. That said. Try the 5 lug forum. Probably some good info there.
