Towing the toy hauler with the Tacoma in it, I was under 26k gross with my old 7.3 but I have a feeling the new dually pushed me over the edge.

The paint is not great, mine had a fair number of chips in the front and it does fade. A buddy has had his for 15+ years stored outside and no rust through, but the finish is beat on it too. In retrospect, I should have clear coated the whole trailer as soon as I got it home from the dealer.

My trailers, I put permanent tags on them, it was a one time fee of around $100. As long as they don’t have living quarters we can do that.

My 2003 Duramax has 163,000 miles on it. The tax value is $4,180 :rofl:we have to pay our property tax when we renew our tags, property tax on it is $38, the tags are $484 plus the $38

Funny, different states get their money one way or another. I was looking at a newer truck, but I’m just going to hold onto my reliable 60k mile paid off truck.

Well this has been a frustrating morning.

Trying to find a trailer is getting to be a little harder than I expected. Most trailers in equipment/trailer trader are sold. Click bait.

I like deck over trailer for the ease of loading/positioning but the center of gravity is a bit higher.

Found this little 28’ deckover that’s still available. This would be easy to load and unload the tractor and probably just keep some implements strapped to the deck.

Probably look a little ridiculous to have one Jeep on the deck going off-roading, but it would also allow to have two go along.

I also found this exact trailer in 30’ and a lot closer.

This one is ideal for me. 24’, 8k axles, hydraulic jacks, etc.

Only thing is I would need to buy some aluminum ramps, widen the deck a bit and make drive over fenders. Not a huge deal breaker, but it would cost about 300.00 in steel and whatever aluminum ramps cost.

I feel your pain. I drove 300 miles round trip to NH when I bought my dump trailer last summer because I couldn't find the combination I wanted anywhere in Maine.

Any of you guys make custom gooseneck trailer movers for your 3 point? I was having a "great" time getting bogged down in the muck today with the truck.

    IMG_3442.jpg

I have one for the conventional trailers and it works great!

I’ve got a couple I made over the years. One has cat 1 pins, the other has cat 2 is the only difference. There’s a hitch receiver on the bottom and I added some chain hooks. The hook in the middle is great for pulling fence post up and the ones flat are great for pulling logs or whatever. The pipe on the one in this photo, I have a bale spear for it.

I have a ball and a couple chain hooks welded to the top of my bucket. Wouldn't something like that work?
