I'm a fan of that rack. I got my own fabbed at a local shop as well, but the location of the vertical supports make getting to 4 of the button snaps a pain in the ass. You have a .swg file or something you'd be willing to share?

I'll reach out to the guy who made it, he sent me a few design pics but I don't know what software he used.

    DIY Fabricobbler.

You can roll the sides up so that the inside material face is inside rather than outside. Looks nicer. Doesn't trap pollen, dust or other nasty stuff. Won't fade the inside face either.

Once clipped in place, the roll will stay put just fine all day, everyday. I would just completely unzip/unvelcro the front and rear windows if running safari for days on end.

That design layout is shocklingly very similar to how I was mentally designing my rack at first. I spun the idea around and around in my head for months, well before and after I purchased my Softtopper. Then I just built something competely different after a good nap and recent access to a guy with a CNC laser cutter and huge brake. In fact, I just called him this past week to see if he could whip me up another set of rectangle tubes that I made the rack with originally, to use as cross bars above the rack to bolt my RTT to. I just need about 1.5" to clear the shark antenna on the cab. Didn't want to diddle with steel and then paint.

Ha Sketchup is what I used for my rack as well. Yeah this is a sleek design. Thanks for the link!

For anyone who’s ordered a Softopper recently, specifically 5’ 3rd Gen, what has been the lead time from order to delivery in the continental US? Thanks.

It was about 10 days for me. And I’m in N Az so close for shipping.
I think on their site they list the times. Sometimes it varies by color.

Wait, so is it the small or large size that is 20mm? Apologies but I'm confused as to which is the correct size.

How do you guys seal your bed from dust and dirt? My tailgate lets in a lot of dirt and the corners of the softopper don't provide a good seal.

No real additional sealing for me. I’ve never really had too much of an issue with a ton of dust/dirt getting in. Does it let more dust/dirt in than a hardtop? Yeah of course, but not enough where it’s been any issue.
