Good Lord this is the first I’ve dealt with one of these new style slings. There must be 10 different ways to use it. I guess just dick with it until I figure what works best for me

    Don't overthink it

Mount it using a 2 point configuration with the slide or quick adjust towards the muzzle

That’s how I have it. I just need to figure out which way I prefer carry I guess left or right shoulder and adjust it. See what’s most comfortable

Ok I’ll try that again. I’m a bit ambidextrous so some simple things like this take a little work. I.e. I’m left handed but right eye dominant.

small world, the production company that made this video, Panteo, is one of our local ranges and honestly probably one of the best for actual training anywhere nearby

It’s a private facility and the members are all super friendly, several pistol pays, a 600 to 800 rifle range, and a 360 bay to actually run drills etc...they bring in instructors from all over

Thanks mark I'm sitting watching you tube now. Feel like a dumbass having to watch youtube for a rifle sling. The one video showed carrying with both shoulders even thugh shooting right handed

I’ve learned a lot about many things via YouTube, I don’t remember who’s video it was but I watched a video on slings about a year ago and it changed my mindset on using a sling, I had always had one on any “serious” rifle but never used one actively, just passively.

I've always run mine as far forward as possible (even before seeing the video I posted). Coming from a hunting background, I'll wrap the sling (slack) around my wrist for added stability when the situation calls for it.

You'll learn what works best for you in due time.

    ^^ This ^^

In lieu of attending a course, there are many respectable trainers who put out YouTube videos with a ton of tips/knowledge.

That video is what educated me on basic sling usage for a modern platform. My current rifle is actually a derivative of what they're demonstrating there.
