This is true! I just called em and they verified that the spacing is different on the rear bolts closest to the tailgate

Do you run the diff drop with your DK kit? Just curious. What were the circumstances when it gave up the ghost?

When'd ya do that. I broke one this weekend too. Sheered it right at the tulip on the inner joint. Those are just stock length aftermarket axles.

No diff drop. But I'm strapped before it binds and at ride height cv axles are perfectly parallel. But I was climbing a decent ledge and can only assume the 37s with throttle pinned and a weird bounce caused it. But typically I blow up the outers. Just weird coincidence. Not upset about it and dirtking hooked me up with a slight discount on the new shaft. Just curious if it had happened before.

It sounds like it's a ways away, but check out Dirt King, DMZ, and JD Fab's spring under kits simply because a couple guys on here have had less than good results with the Camburg spring under despite them making good parts for other applications. Dirt King has a few guys on instagram that have some good videos. @snowsk8air2 has the DMZ kit.

I snapped 2 of the dk shafts on 35’s. Both seemed odd circumstances for my failures. Both right at the outer cv for me. Ended up going to RCV’s and hope that will limit failures in the future.

I’ve been super happy with my DK kit and DMZ out back. Used and abused for a few years now. Only issue up front I’ve had were a few snapped axles from playing in the rocks, and then bent shackle hangers in the rear again from rocks. I’m getting 15” travel up front and just shy of 17” out back. That said, the JD fab stuff is looking very promising.

Makes me feel better. Wonder if they had a bad run of axles. I am still nervous to go with rcv. But I say by next year year it will happen.

I have yet to really test them in the rocks and since I probably won’t be 4wd again until late summer it will be a while for that to happen anyways. That said they are significantly larger with the added benefit of being made from 300m instead of 4130

I know when you have the wheel cranked hard and there is a lot of torque on the hubs like when you are rock climbing or whatever, that is when axles/hubs are at their weakest. Not sure if this is was the case. Better the axles snaps off clean as opposed to something more$$ and harder to get at. That's what worries me about RCV axles, if they don't give, something up the line may go. Now if I snapped an axle on the trail, no big deal, just unlock the hubs and head back.frontshocks2.jpg

Big sad for you  but Yeah i was checking out that DMZ Kit I really like it and even better theyre like 10-15 minutes from my house !! haha
