Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Here are the newer instructions.

 

Is there an instruction checklist? I got the link and bought the upgrade. Do I just DL the program and input stuff or need a reg key etc? Been out of the loop for a while here.

 

Can you not extract it from the .cuw files I sent to your zendesk yesterday?

 

I can, but at the same time providing ECU dumps can do the job too

 

With the new software, there are no more reg keys. Once you get the email with your master key, download the latest version of vFtuner(link is unavailable until 6pm eastern Tues night according to website). Then follow the prompts. There are also new instructions on the vftuner website.

new version of vF Tuner update tonight or by tomorrow morning with update for 18+ flashing.


2018-2021s will get the exclusive option for - Fast Programming mode.

This allows you to flash the ECU faster than the standard way, flashing as quickly as smaller size ECUs.

Exclusive only to 2018+ vehicles at this time.

We are working on Fast programming mode for all ECUs, with the expectation for our Fast Program option to flash the ECU in 20 - 25 seconds.

 

Also since everyone is asking and freaking out lol yes Reset AT / Reset LV will be in the flasher again.

 

@OVTune I know you're getting blown up right now during this massive update, but for those of us who purchased late last week during the update, how can we expect to receive the tune pack files? Do we still email zendesk with our calibration ID?

 

Its pretty quick already but if this comes to '16s it would be a great add. Thanks for the continued improvements rolling out @OVTune

yep it will be nice and quick!

and 1.3.0 will come with the update everyone wants. Full TCU access and TCU flashing. Transmission pressures, solenoid control, etc etc etc

 

Hopefully more cruise control maps, like ECT cruise control.

My timing was just too good!

 

@OVTune Can you check zendesk ticket #24478. Having trouble starting truck after flashing tune.

 

Did you turn truck all the way off, then try starting?

 

@ihatemytruck Yes i turned it all the off then on. The starter goes but it wont turn over.

 

Sent you a PM. Literally just worked with someone else that had the same issue doing a TSB.

It's not permenantly dead.
