Worth fixing up a Tacoma SR 2WD?

I see. When you said "fixing up" I was picturing something involved in a crash or other issue. You definitely do what you like!

The Tacoma is one of the few vehicles that is a worthwhile enthusiast vehicle no matter what you get. I have a four cylinder myself, and I like it just fine. Wouldn't want to tow or haul heavy loads in any Taco anyways.

this might be legit because 6-speed manual didn't show up for SR5 or Limited like it did for the SR, TRD Sport and TRD Off-Road

 

I know it's legit, but it's been so long I can't find the original thread discussing it for the life of me. I know it was DCSB and ACLB. No idea what the take rate was on the trucks since they clearly got discontinued for '17. They're the most unicorn 3rd gen of them all.

Looks real good man I’ve also done little things here and there. CaliRaised led lights?or are they another brand

 

The fog lights are cali raised led amber pods and the pods up on the hood are Rigid

 

Looks clean and yea might get the hood pods and bumper led bar from Cali raised they look good how do you like em?

 

I was in my mid 20s when I got mine. It was what was in my budget at the time although I really wished I had waited maybe another year or 2 to be able to get what I really wanted, an Off Road, but oh well. Happy with what I have now. A Tacoma is a Tacoma in my book and I absolutely love it.

What are you looking to do to yours? I am mid process of looking into a lift. I would prefer to go with a 3/1 lift. Slight lift and its leveled. Wanting to give it an OEM/stock appearance but beefier, or how it really should have came from the factory. I am stuck on 2 things though. Tire size to put on after the lift, and what actual lift kit or suspension lift to go with. Have some ideas but I'm just in the beginning stages for the moment. Thought I had more time, was going to pull the trigger once my current tires run low on tread but its time already after going on 2 cross state road trips down here in Texas

 

The light bar is an auxbeam. Its held up good for the past 2 years and decently bright

Exactly man! That’s pretty much my story mid 20’s it’s what was in my budget, so far love it and done little things here and there I have a leveling kit on it right at the moment I am thinking of better suspension in the future just not now cause everything on the truck is pretty new. But yea definitely choose wisely cause once I installed the leveling kit on the front 2.25 inch and 1 in in the rear I put a set of all terrain tires on it went a bit bigger on size but it would look better if I would of went even more bigger on the tire size to give it that beefier look.

 

Nice I have the same brand for my led headlight bulbs and they are pretty good lights, I’ll have to check them out

 

I’ll try and post a pic tomorrow show you guys what I got so far.

What parts/components exactly make up your lift? Any issues with vibrations or odd handling characteristics?
