What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I just took out my Cipher seats and put the factory back in. Bolsters were way too aggressive for a lifted truck. Inexpensive brand, but might look to name brand at some point.

 

My alignment guy said the caster is maxed out, I asked to try to get close to 3 degrees. Seems low to be maxed out

 

What do your cams look like? Super easy to tell if it's maxed.

 

Really need pics of the back cams too, but nowhere close to maxed.

And I would never leave a cam upside down like that.

IMO - find a new alignment guy, or learn to do your own.

@Dan8906 That was a sloppy alignment

 

He may have meant maxed out while still able to get close to 0 camber, especially if you don’t have adjustable UCAs.
The left side looks fucky though, and yeah your passenger front cam is upside down.

Beautiful. I'm looking for a replacement for my 60/40 and it looks like I found it. I'm guessing you bought your center console separately? How do you like the vinyl? I'm in Alaska, so the seat heaters will definitely be getting added on.

 

ya I got the center console from a wrecker and painted it black, also built a new top for the console. Original was too short. My seats have the cloth centers, and there nice, don’t get hot like vynal in the sun. I debated on the heaters but decided I didn’t really need em, did get the inflatable lumber on the drivers side though.

Lol yea that's not maxed. Like what the other guys said.
I've gone to the concord firestone and had good luck there. There's an asian guy there that knows what he's doing when it comes to lifted trucks. I was able to work with him last time on getting the numbers I wanted. I told them that I was ok with having up to 1.2 or so degrees of camber to get to the castor numbers I wanted.

Find a new alignment tech. You got a rookie or one who doesn't give a fuck.

Edit: I'd consider going back and asking for my money back.

 

I’ve been going there for a while, I think they have a new tech. I paid for unlimited alignments for 4 years. That’s close to the end now anyway. There’s a really good shop near by but it’s expensive.

 

Sometimes it’s true you get what you pay for (unless your the one that does your own alignments)
