So, what happens if I forgot my password for VF Tuner? I used to just use legacy Flash Manager to flash, and have not really touched VFTuner until recently.

When I tried to install VFTuner on one of my other laptops, I got the error that this master key had reach registration limit. I thought the purpose of the master key and registered email is to get away from being locked down to one computer.

I have a couple laptops, one personal ultra book (main tuning laptop), a desktop replacement for editing, and two tough books which I plan on using for remote tuning and data logging,

The new update is out, but the comparison feature is still not really usable in the UI. Will this be fixed @OVTune ?

Looks like the new big version is not out yet.. oops!

There were two versions of 1.2.9.5 posted yesterday with a quick fix for a couple early problems.

Will be an update for a few things, clarify a couple more things, update a few messages on the flasher, etc

    Working on that
I'd really like to go this route, but my dealership service dept. told me it would void the warranty.
    Any workarounds?

Other dealers have told folks the exact opposite.

In my personal view, the tune is better for the hardware long-term. Smoother, more consistent operation and no more pings in hot weather.

Basically anything you do to your truck can void the warranty. I wouldn’t worry about it. Personally I feel way more confident in the tune than I did the OEM calibration

The only way it would void the warranty is if they can prove that the tune caused the issue if your axel comes flying off on the freeway because of a manufacturer defect they will have to honor the warranty tune or not

I think he is more concerned of any engine issues that may develop being blamed on the tune and not defects.

Ultimately they won't really know you have a tune unless they specifically search within the ECU parameters for changes to values compared to stock. Worst case scenario, just flash back to stock before bringing it in for warranty work.

I'm trying to find documentation on what the different names of each tune are in 2.0, for example SuperFOB, BaseDump etc...? Also, I was wondering how I confirm I have the most updated tune files version?

    Thanks,
    Corbin

Okay, can you PM me what dealerships?? I'd love to talk to them about how they handle the logistics. I work at one and have a very tenuous "I won't pitch to our customers but if they find me on their own that's cool" kinda deal. Have tuned many employee vehicles as well, but I don't blame the dealership for not wanting to promote tuning to customers.

Can I use the Tactrix cable I got from OVT to update my ECU with techstream? Or is there some other hardware I would need for that?

Just leased 2021 Tacoma Limited. Would it be smart to tune a leased truck? Any info on nearest place for OVTune? I'm central Illinois. I'm not liking the downshift on interstate driving 72mph. Thanks
