Incorrect sir...295/75/16 I had. And the reason for no rubbing was the installer of the lift package dialed the billies to the tip top. @ilubtimmyhos can vouch for me, he was a first hand eyewitness!

Edit: Should have said @ilubtimmyhos saw this was the case when he redid my front suspension. He's the one who called it out to me.

    wanna be mods
So I've always been a 'buy once, cry once' type guy with gear, etc. It has proven worthy in terms of "depreciation" as far as durability/functionality, but now
Having a toddler has changed this dynamic on things...
    I started at two extremes:
    1. Warn models that check the buying American Made/Made in USA box (and really have to pay for it.). They also seem like the industry standard/what others are judged against.
      • I was looking originally at the M8000S*
    2. HF/Smitty etc. - foreign made and affordable, but dependability and durability questions/issues came up more in research (subjective evidence).
My research was obviously biased based on the reviewers experiences, other brand experience, etc., but after all the research and youtubing, I just took @EatSleepTacos insights and decided that the Warn VR foreign made, USA QA'd options seemed to fit:hattip:.

In all seriousness I asked Randy about the Warn M8000s, and only mentioned the HF 12k alternative. Sorry for the longwinded response...

So I'm no expert, but I've done a lot of winching and have taken training in winching simply because I don't want to be that guy who has one and can't get himself out of a mess. I applaud you're research and willingness to learn for sure. Some of these companies like Warn have a winch bag that has pretty much what you need. But the number one thing I honestly think you should start with is a good preventive/corrective maintenance plan to ensure the winch works when you need it. In other words, get a cover to protect it from UV and salt, after winter unwind and flush all the salt off the barrel and mechanics, properly roll the line with tension (maybe use a tree and let it drag your truck), grease, and protect. Because no matter what the companies say, it will all fail if you don't care for it. other than that, get a second line to extend your reach. You would be surprised how quickly you realize how "short" you are in reality.

A supercharger is $5300 brand new with a tuner. A struggle I have been having. Lol

Good stuff. I was originally leaning towards the Smitty due to it being nearly identical in specs but $250 cheaper. However, prices for the X2O have gone up while the Warn has become more affordable =the price gap between them is negligible.

This being the case, I think I'll join you in grabbing a Warn. Thanks for the input!!

I'm currently waiting on my sliders to come in from All Pro; hopefully be throwing those on this week if not this weekend. Really hoping to pull the trigger on the Taco Garage DMM this Friday too; I keep eyeing it and think, for the price, it looks perfect.

It's pretty awesome. I got one when he first started making them and love it every time I use it.

Who knows? I have an aluminum radiator sitting in the garage, a mod to repair, work on my front bumper stuff, and an emergency brake to adjust.

Yeah, I keep hearing this opinion repeated, too; typically a good sign. Yeah, not going to lie....having a usable and stable phone mount is greatly missed.

+1 on this. I got his new magnetic tablet holder and that thing is fantastic. Nice clean look and hasn't lost grip of my galaxy tablet on some pretty formidable trails.

Going to try a taller, thinner fuel cell and finish some parts on the toob bed. I blew a fox hydro bump so think I’m going to try kings. Is it unacceptable to run one fox and one king?

I haven't had a single issue with his mount. At one time I had two cell phones, a tablet, and Bao Feng hanging off it like it was no thing. I was getting ready to pull the trigger on that overprice PAM deal when AJ first started making these. So glad I stumbled across the thread when I did.

You better be keeping the clear filler neck! And why the change? And I see nothing wrong with mismatched bumps. Also, did you guys get past inspections?

I’m going to try a narrow top feed cell. I was worried that with a low amount of gas, I would starve the engine on long steep climbs since the pump pulls from the front. But I do plan on keep the clear filler neck. I have been think about where we can use it on your truck. We haven’t tried to get the trucks “inspected” yet. I think I’m going to take a picture of an inspection sticker and laminate it and stick it in my windshield.
