Same bike - bumped the front fork up to 160 and just bought a coil for the rear, @Bannerman helped me talk myself into it.
That video made me cringe. Glad he recovered from that.

Would consider renting a DH rig - are they still running Commencal ?

@GrundleJuice you hit that on your hardtail last year right ?

@honda50r have you ridden horseface ?

There’s a trail named after Sarah Jessica Parker?

Yes sir. Not much of a "trail" but more of a steady death crater and then it intersects with a double-black. Hardest trail on the mountain by a mile

Just about 2 months out. Our weather is warming up (still rainy) but hoping to get some solid riding time in and improve my cardio even more for this ride.

@Bannerman that pontoon isn’t helping you out...

    Also, @honda50r serious question time.

I’m not yet a “jumper” or “shredder”. Still keep both wheels on the ground most of the time haha. So that being said, windrock has the permit cost. Would it be worth the cost, to go to windrock xc, if I’m gonna roll by or walk the hardest cool stuff?

Yes. The positive influence you will experience riding Windrock DH is worth the cost of admission.

Also, stop being a cheapass, you make plenty of money Mr. Engineer, its $40
