I felt the same way, what surprised me the most was the final phase of the landing sequence using eight hydrazine-fueled rocket jets on the Skycrane that didn't even look like they were turned on, with the hydrazine-fuel you have a clear exhaust, as opposed to what was shown in the "7 minutes of terror" animated video, showing a bluish exhaust.

Dust is weird on Mars. Not only does it weight less, but the thinner atmosphere allows it to be kicked up easier. I remember reading somewhere that hurricane speed winds on mars would feel like a gentle breeze from Earth. The problem is that the dust it kicks up is VERY fine, and will get in EVERYTHING. I believe they compared it to baby powder, but it's been years since I read what ever I'm remembering.

I read yesterday that only like 20 planes are in actual use with those engines.

the vast majority have been stored since last March due to the lagging demand.

I need some Starship launches to distract me from my RUD’ing TSLA stock.

The article’s about the Falcon 9.

    SN10 is on the pad.

I used to work at a place that makes the stuff that the blades are made from. When I was there the level of attention paid to meeting specs, accuracy, and quality was astounding. They made the fan blade material, offshore oil rig drilling collars material, Navy fighter landing gear material, that kind of stuff. And guitar string material -- go figure.

I used to work for a shop that made turbine blades. After seeing what they were pumping out at times... I'm not surprised things like this happen. I've seen them blend 0.030" steps by hand.

Skewed reporting. The elevator technology is not new technology. There are mine elevators from the 1800's still in operating condition today. It's relatively simple technology, and a great way to get both people and equipment off the rocket and onto the surface. Now if they were trying to do it while hovering in midair with rocket engines...

To clarify, I was thinking of the products produced and the activities (SNs, static fires, suborbital hops....) SpaceX has done since receiving the lowest amount of the three being compared to building cardboard boxes and such.
