What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Let us know how the fitment is. I know people complained about there being a gap between the light and the housing BUTTTT they may have installed it incorrectly. I think they come with some type of spacers or washers to fit in flush.

 

I know what I’m doing later this week... 1st mod.

I installed AVS rain guards

 

They don't fit in flush perfectly and neither do the stock fogs. After I installed one side there are little gaps between the body and the fog light. SO, I looked at the side with the stock fog still in and its the same.

 

How's is the fitment?, does the glass scratch?, thanks...I'm also interested

 

I have in-channel AVS also, for three years now. They fit quite snug and I am confident they won't just fall right off. No issues with glass scratching.

 

Rain guards were one of the top 3 mods I did when I got my truck. I had my windows tinted the same day I drove the truck off the lot and when I got home I removed the 4x crappy door speakers and replaced with Infinity.

 

I plan on getting the AVS rain guards, for speakers I got them but not installed yet. I got Focal, I'm hoping to be able to install a 4" coax Focal in dash instead just tweeter.

 

Probably an obvious answer, but where do these go? I get the start stop, but the red circles..

 

Did you install the front camera on your Pro grill? If so, where at?

 

Looks nice man. I looked at the Slee and was going to run that one but decided I wanted to add the ARB 1 gallon air tank so went with a different bracket. Also ran an airline up front and one in the box so there is air everywhere haha!

 

I just installed them but I haven't noticed any scratching and that wind noise on the driver side is gone too LOL. Fitment is great and easy install.

Thanks. Your setup looks really good too. I'd looked into adding a tank, but wasn't really sure I'd need it at this point. I can always add one down the line at some point. I just installed it the night before the trip with the family, so nothing fancy at this point. I'm looking into building a "Wifey" type system down the road, along with a quick connect in the bed. I want to live with it as is for a while first before I pull the trigger on anything.

 

I've had my AVS in-channels for about 6 months or so. Last night I took it through the touch-free car wash for the first time and they survived. Also no glass scratching.

 

You can grab these LED lights at any auto parts shop right?

 

Sorry if I sound dumb - I’ve never had rain guards. What is so great about them? I don’t really see a purpose aside from letting you crack your windows while in the rain ?
