    Oh hey! It's you!

Everytime I think about this "race" I cringe in fear.

I was thinking the same thing. But Google generally returns median figures when you search "average income xxxxx."

    $78.6k/year in WA.

It was no joke. Esp after the sun went down. I was pulling sweep after everyone passed my aid station. The last stretch into Wendover was the worst. There's a stop sign with those blinking red attention lights at the top of the hill before you drop into Wendover that you can see from like 20 miles out when your eyes are adjusted. Which means for what seems like forever, that stop sign isn't getting any closer. The last rider legit had a panic attack and it took them 10 minutes to get themselves together and back on the bike to finish out.

If I did that route, I'd be bikepacking it for 2 or 3 days.

Bobby is a whack job for wanting to do that repeatedly, but god damn if I'm not impressed by their will. Esp with the Salty Lizard race the next morning after most finish the Pony in the wee morning hours.

Yoga is probably the best thing I did for comfort on the bike. Yoga15 is solid. 15 minutes a day was all I needed to see improvements. Now I haven’t my bike in a while and haven’t been doing yoga so my next ride is going to suck haha

I had a 120mm Reba on my hardtail for a while. It was not enough fork for me, but I'm over 200lbs and not a finesse rider. I recently upgraded to a 140mm Pike. It was worth every penny; best fork I've ever ridden.

The Pike is a great choice if you're looking for the next step up from the Reba. This Pike came on the bike at 140mm but I have changed the rod to make it 150mm and flipped the rear pivot chip on the frame. I also replaced the air spring cartridge with a DebonAIR That's the best thing you can do for any RS fork

This thread always has me looking at hardtails....been there, done that, don't think I really want another one. But damn do I want another one!

I don't think I'm seriously looking to change up my bike this year (even if I could find what I want), but I'm really thinking the new Evil Offering is at the top of my list for a one bike quiver in the PNW. I ride everything from rolling forest trails to traditional bigger up then down type rides. If I had to skew one direction or the other I'd get a Following before a Wreckoning. Just for an idea of the riding I'm doing. But from what I can tell I don't think I'd give up much on the more tame trails going from the Following to the Offering, and I think the extra travel would be appreciated in the rougher stuff. I figure if I'm going low travel it might as well be light (something like a Spur).

Other considerations would be a Rascal, Spur, Following, Druid, Ripley (AF?), Ripmo, Sentinel, new Stumpy, Switchblade....I'm all over the place. I think the offering is a good balance and sounds like it's poppy and playful which I like. I think I'd rather suffer a bit on the pedally stuff than give up too much on the descents. Just want a solid do it all trail bike that will still be engaging on the pedally side hit rolling forest stuff but will let me be a bit dumb on the bigger descents.

I'm looking at Offering, Sentinel, and Meta TR 29. Talked to a guy yesterday who rides his new Sentinel v2 5x a week for past 8 months on south mountain. Super rocky terrain and not really any actual dirt or loam. He said all he's broken is one chain stay and said it was a breeze getting replacement rear triangle. Transition direct sales also have no tax(is what he told me).

I'm currently on a Scout and a bit of a Transition fan boi. I always thought the Sentinel was bigger than I need, but I have myself about talked in to other bikes in the same class so IDK. Not sure why I think of it as a bigger bike than the Offering but I kinda do.

I just bought a 27.5 full squishy right before the winter hit here  I still have my 26 HT, I'm debating what to do with it. I'm leaning right now toward making it rigid and using it for commuting and "urban" rides (I live 1mi from the grocery store, rather than drive I would ride in the summers). HT is fun, and simple. I love both being as simple as possible, and also going way overkill. But I like HT, I also come from a BMX background so these full squish 29s are just wonky to me, just massive and lumbering. >:|

I really dig my scout and it may be a forever bike for me unless something radical happens out there. I just cannot get over how well it pedals. I’m going tomorrow to buy my son a chrome ripcord for his birthday, then a few years later it becomes a hand me down to his sister.

love my patrol. would def get another transition if i had the chance. either a scout, sentinel, or spur would be super rad. but the patrol has taken me on some gnarly dh trails at the bike parks, all day rides up and down mountains, and like 4 days bikepacking the colorado trail. broke my rear hub, some spokes, and scratched my for stanchion, but its still riding strong

If the Spur wasn't backordered to hell, I would have bought one of those instead of my Pipedream hardtail any day of the week. Would make a perfect pairing with my Sentinel.
