On a side note... I hate every weapon that comes out of the Battlegrounds. I just infuse them into my other weapons.

 

I personally dont think opening is the way on Sqwakmoon. 3 seconds to proc the opening shot.
Rangefinder I've found to be better with that extra zoom in

 

I've got every variant of Hawkmoon that you can get (excluding some grip combinations) and I've used them all. I've got a Killing Wind roll that I like but my Opening Shot roll is my favorite. It doesn't take 3 secs. to proc Opening Shot. It is proc'd as soon as you ADS. The thing with Opening Shot that most don't understand is, it doesn't only proc on the first shot of the fight. If you shoot someone and get a crit shot and they move behind cover, 3 secs. later Opening Shot procs again. It tightens your bullet cone and more often than not, that first crit is the difference in winning or losing that fight since it's easy to proc another crit with opening shot 3 secs. later.

Nothing wrong with Rangefinder. I've got one of those also. But on Hawkmoon you are maybe talking about another meter of range and that isn't enough to make a difference is "most" scenarios. That is one reason I'll switch to Hawkmoon on mid range maps where range isn't usually an issue. 120rpm Hand Cannons are king right now. But you better land your shots. 140rpm Hand Cannons like Hawkmoon will take advantage over that on a given map and depending on how many stacks of Paracausal Shots you have stacked up? Hawkmoon is one of the few 140's that will compete and outplay some of the best 120's in the game.

As far a zoom factor goes on a weapon that has Rangefinder? That doesn't affect how I play. Now that the PS5 comes with an FOV slider for a wider field of view... the little bit of extra zoom doesn't affect me personally.

 

Yeah, Battlegrounds are a lot of fun. I just wish better weapons came out of it. I just use Battlegrounds as infusion fuel.

8x @1300 NF to get this for my 1st pali. So close to what i wanted. Just needed rampage in that last slot. When masterworked this will have insane range.

 

Man... You have better luck than me. I literally spent a day in the NF running 1270's when no one was on and 1300's when we they were. I bet I've run it this week more than 30 times. First two runs at 1300 yesterday with two buddies they both got one at the same time. Ran 7-8 more and they got two more. I finally got two in a row later last night on 1270 of all things. Neither are perfect and one has "One for All" which is a worthless trait for PvP. But like yours, it has decent range. The second is actually a better roll but less range. Gun feels crisp though. I'll keep grinding until I get a god roll.

I love having QuickDraw on either my primary or secondary weapons since it works both ways. You don’t need to have QuickDraw on both. So if I have a primary with QuickDraw but a sniper that has Snapshot then it will switch back and forth at the same pace.

 

Finished my Trials run and the Hand Cannon is dropping this week. Not the exact roll I wanted but it sure isn't bad.

Subsistence (which is "okay"). It's nice for auto reloading rounds in your gun on a kill but I'd have rather had Opening Shot

Range is NOT an issue with this Hand Cannon since it is completely maxed out with the Range Masterwork and Adept Range Mod. Recoil is vertical so it's a sticky little beast.

 

I feel like adept icarus would be better but could use some testing

Stayed up to after 1am playing 1v1 private matches. This just turned into a snipefest. We ended up playing 10 matches at 20mins each. After playing all day, I'm surprised that we were able to land our shots. But it's always fun in private matches where you can switch things up. I did notice one thing about the Igneous Hammer Hand Cannon while playing last night. I know Bungie does some rounding up on dmg numbers. But there is one time in this video that I two tap him for 50 each and one crit for 90. 190 HP isn't enough to kill if you are over 5-6 resilience but it gave me the kill anyway? So I'm not sure about the rounding that Bungie is doing with this Hand Cannon. It's got stupid range on it though.

Killing wind Dead Mans is so much fun to hip fire. Seriously love this gun and cant wait for the catalyst

 

I've got to get back in there soon. I haven't been back in that mission since it came out so I don't have a random roll. I've been concentrating on PvP and Trials. It's a good gun and I'd like to have many different rolls. But I'm extremely happy with my Trials equipment at the moment.

 

Scored a PS5 yesterday! Got in the Playstation Direct queue and was able to purchase one. Just gotta wait for it to ship now. .

 

That’s great! There was a report that came out a few weeks ago that basically said that the PS5 might not be available for a while due to chip manufacturing and the overwhelming demand for the unit. At the time, there were absolutely no unit’s available or even manufactured. But I guess they are starting to catch back up. If you ordered it directly from Sony then you should be good. I’ve no idea how long it takes To ship directly from Sony but at least you know you have one coming. You will love it. I would also recommend buying the “official” Sony Pulse 3D headset. It sounds unreal.
