What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Are those real OEM mud flaps that are flat instead of the sails that came with my 2017 TRD OR?

 

Does anyone know the part number for that USB port? Trying to buy a backup for a project, but online there only seems to be USB/AUX combo. The dealer has the part but wants $230, it has to be cheaper on some parts site.

 

I got them from Tufskinz. You can get the 4x4 in multiple colors. I liked the look better than OEM.

 

I pieced a tire strap kit for 35 spare in bed together for about $45. I wasn't about to pay the $110 for the Fabtech kit. I also locked it.

Still bummed my bed is consumed with a 35, but that's one of the things that comes with it.

 

Doesn't look very secure. A set of bolt cutters and it would be gone in a flash.

Toyota included a basic tool kit including those wrenches back in the 1970s and early 1980s. There was also a spark plug wrench. It all came in a plastic roll up kit.

The spark plug wrench looked like this,

There might have been a reversible screw driver, but I'm not 100% sure.

My first metric wrenches were those!

Long gone now as I replaced them with Craftsman and Snap On.

Dealers are not giving me the part number (probably trying to make that money, I get it); the Toyota parts site says "VIN not found!", which is annoying.

 

It's an old rim and old tire. I'm just trying to keep an honest person honest.

 

That sucks. I've tried a couple other sites with 2021 VINs found by searching dealer inventories with basically same results. Online systems must not be updated yet.

 

Ss3 pro fogs and ss3 pro driving lights installed. Soon will relocate my ssc2’s on the ditch light mount when I get extensions. Wheels should be here next week sometime as well.

Threw on the 10” Voodoo rack with the tonneau brackets. Was gonna throw on the new tent too but ran out of daylight

 

I saw those and have thought about buying a set. I hate the chrome ends on my truck. I took a chance and ordered some painted from Amazon. They should be in next week I hope. The company didn’t have any reviews or stars so who knows. If the set I bought doesn’t work out do you think the set you bought could be painted? My brother warned me about different types of plastic and some won’t hold paint. (He has a body shop)
