the TRD's have a seperate key in the fob that opens the door. I guess disabling and leaving the fob in the truck would still be a jackpot for a thief who breaks in and finds it though.

Yes, are these Morimotos/Alpharex/or the upgraded stock LED lights? I just ordered some Mori's but their delivery is delayed due to bad weather. Also what kind of after market suspension did you go with?

 

Maybe a stupid question, just wondering what people are thinking:
Do you guys ever wish you purchased a higher trim level? I see all of these TRD OR's, Sports, and Pros and think to myself, "Man, I wish I had push start/mirror turn signals/4x4/etc". I only need a truck to move big things around in the bed. Probably will never off road. But gosh, sometimes I wish I had 4x4 just to say I had it and in case I ever needed it.

 

No i think it’s a good question. I think this forum can definitely give you trim level regret and I’m glad this thread is taking off because it gets old seeing only OR’s and Sports on here. Honestly, i off road all the time and havent needed a locker yet. I was stupid and thought all toyota 4x4’s had a locker. My main regret is getting a DCSB instead of an ACLB. I also wish i had a bed outlet, that would be cool. Moon roof would be cool too i guess. But it kept my monthly payment lower. Plus, i’ll be changing out the suspension anyway and can alway add a locker later. Not too much jealousy here. No matter what, people always want more i guess

 

Nope. I'm a simple guy.
About the only thing I regret is the longer bed, should've done the DCLB but I'm happy overall.
The older you get, the less you seem to care for the fancy stuff. Form and function is priority.

 

I agree with this. I would bet you my next paycheck that if I got a Pro I'd still think, "Mine doesn't have what that guy's Pro has." That or I would spend $80k making mine the best.

same boat as everybody else why pay more for stuff I won't use. I'm on my second sr5, I will admit though I do get feature envy once in a while but my wife has an 18 TRD OR 4runner so it has all those new fangled desirable buttons and features for when I'm feeling fancy.

 

Interesting you say this because I've been thinking about the same thing for my wife's car. I would really like to get a 4R for her next vehicle, and I considered getting the Limited or TRD OR Premium to satisfy that desire to have something nice. Also scores points with the wife.
