Yeah, I’m glad he made some and they are SS. I had a rust prone rack on my 4Runner, rust running down MGM isn’t a good look. Hope it all works out. Sounds like he had the LB ready to ship, so hopefully the lead time won’t be too long. Downside is my garage is too full of gym, motorcycle/ toys to get the truck in there and it’s been cold af here with no sign of relenting anytime soon. Might be able to get it into a heated shop at work.

I have a bunch of small water craft for some small private lakes. 2 12’plastic jon boats, 16’ square back plastic canoe, 15’ Malibu x-factor sot kayak. I had a hully roller on my trailer system but sold it with the trailer. Probably just get them up on the rack and strap them down, but might buy a pair of cheap saddles.

Anyone have recommendations for a rack mounted awning? Trying to decide between Roam, ARB or something similar.

They are all about the same. I have ROAM. Lots of guys have ARB. comparing the two, I see little difference.

Got my cab rack. It’s mostly assembled sitting in the living room. All the parts were there, and well packaged. Looks quality. Probably install when I get my shell rack too, it’s coming soon. Needs to warm up a bit. I’m wondering if I should use silicone on the mount points or butyl tape? I think I’ve read some have used butyl tape which I’d prefer.

I used silicone. He recommends that. I actually went to his shop and he helped me.

I grabbed a fresh tube of quality silicone yesterday too. Added some 1/4” lip weatherstrip edging to the bottom of the deflector. Did you cut/drill your drip edge molding or just leave it off? I’m considering leaving mine off in case I ever remove the rack.

Just installed. Used silicone around the holes before setting the spacers. Left the drip moldings off for now can always add them later, but the rack hides the channels pretty well, so I’ll likely just go without. Great quality, no issues with parts or install. Solid rack. I went with 2 extra bars and glad I did so it looks more uniform and offers more roof protection when sliding things up top across the bars.

FUCK UPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No updates since 15th. I know we have had bad weather but they can't even tell me what state it's in or anything except where it was mailed from.

I'm reporting lost. FUCK them for shutting down entirely nationwide

Stuff happens. Don’t think they shut down nationwide, but I’m sure they were impacted pretty heavily in Texas. Talk to UPS and maybe Gage and see what can be done. Not sure how long you have to let them look for something before they just write it off as lost.

I was just having the silicone vs RTV debate in my head. Hope to put mine on this weekend.

I really don't think water can enter the headliner from the bolt holes unless there is a manufacturing defect or damage occurs while bolting something to the holes. They seem to not penetrate the entire cab, but probably good insurance to seal them up. I'm still trying decide if i am going to reinstall my drip edge molding trim, and whether I would cut it into chunks or drill the holes for the spacers. Right now I have left it off, and you really cannot notice it missing since the side rails do a good job of covering the drip rail.

Gage checked on his end and it shows the rack was last in Ft. Worth. But no update on my end and no UPS trucks in my neighborhood still.

The front half of mine keep flying out when I go through a car wash (2019). I think I'm going to see how the front looks with them off and maybe just put a little piece in from the windshield to the first bolt holes. I am going to leave the strip on the back that goes down to the rear window. I don't think it interferes with the factory holes.

Yeah the back strips stay on. You really can’t see it much. I do have some silicon I’ll likely clean up with a razor but otherwise it looks good. Wish the spacers and bolts were black but it doesn’t bother me either. I was surprised how easily the molding strips came off. Surprised they don’t fly off backing up.
