I have a 2013 Toyota Tacoma DCSB. I came out and started my truck and let it run about 15-20 minutes. The temperature outside was 21*. When I returned outside to leave for work and I had no blower motor , no speedometer, no fuel gauge, clutch start cancel, no inverter. But once it warms up outside to above 32* it works like normal. Has anyone ever heard of this or had this problem.

Sounds like an intermittent connection on one of the ignition fuses, and once warmed up by electrical current it makes better contact. Check the tightness of all your fuses, namely the ignition #1 and 2

That is the truck's warning system for extended Idle periods for "warm up".

I’ve never experienced this in my truck.
And I’ve let mine idle for longer than that.

Maybe it’s something they implemented on newer trucks?

    Knute was joking.

Really no need to let a truck sit n idle for 15-20 min before driving it even at 21 deg. Its actually bad for it as the extra fuel will wash the cylinders of oil as well as extra condensation within the cylinders n motor. On cold mornings best to let it idle for 2-3min (just long nuf to brush off snow from windows n scrape ice from the windshield) to build a smidge of heat then drive nicely till she comes up to temp.

I’ve let mine idle for extended period after setting for days to recharge the battery.
Or using the headlights as work lights. I guess, I’m the type the does “what I have to do” to get things done. I’ll admit it’s not always the best thing to do, but things usually get done.

I won’t forget using the headlights as a work lights at 11:00pm to run a new water line.
HomeDepot charges by the day for the rental of a DitchWitch. Needless to say, I paid for 1 day rental.
And things had to get down.

idiling is fine once warmed up. But to idle for a long time to warm up not so much.

Thank u guys for your humor! But this was a serious question. And I’m sure that u have let yours idle longer than 2-3 mins when u have a 1/4 - 3/8” of ice on the windshield. And besides it has done it at 45* as well when I just started the truck and left to come home.

The only thing I know to do is start wiggling the wire harnesses and connections. Maybe you’ll find a loose connection?

BTW, I was serious when I said I have let mine idle for extended periods of time. Even when it’s cold.
I honestly don’t worry about. The truck is warm when I get in and the windshield is defrosted. Is it “good for it?”, who knows.
But I bet I’ll continue to do it.

Mine has lots of idle hours too. The point Nd4 was trying to make is that idling up to temp is harsh on the motor for the reasons stated above. None of those apply any longer once it is fully warmed up

Thanks for all the help guys! I think I found it this morning! Or at least hope that I did! At 5am this morning I went out to leave for work and had no heat! That’s wonderful when it’s 25* outside. I started the truck and popped the hood, I pushed on all the relays, then opened the fuse panel and started pushing on them. I happened to see all the plugs that plug into the fuse panel. I started pushing on them and one of them clicked and the heater started blowing! Praise the lord!!! I feel like an idiot but I don’t care it’s fixed!!! I hope!!!

    Yeah, I understand his point.
    And it’s a valid point.
However, I’ve done both cold and warm.

I’m just trying help OP out by saying, “I’ve done it too”
Plus the fact, Nothing about idling periods pertain to OP original question.
Kind of like OP asked one question, and we have given him advice on another.
And honestly, I don’t know why the cluster is doing what it’s doing.
