What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Ss3 pro fogs and ss3 pro driving lights installed. Soon will relocate my ssc2’s on the ditch light mount when I get extensions. Wheels should be here next week sometime as well.

I installed a set of black Bumpershellz over my chrome bumper covers. Super happy with how the back end of my truck looks now!

Threw on the 10” Voodoo rack with the tonneau brackets. Was gonna throw on the new tent too but ran out of daylight

 

I saw those and have thought about buying a set. I hate the chrome ends on my truck. I took a chance and ordered some painted from Amazon. They should be in next week I hope. The company didn’t have any reviews or stars so who knows. If the set I bought doesn’t work out do you think the set you bought could be painted? My brother warned me about different types of plastic and some won’t hold paint. (He has a body shop)

 

funny you say that because one of the first thing i thought of was that this would be a perfect excuse to tell my wife that i need "armor" aka roof rack

 

Don't know if this could be painted or not. But the guys at Bumpershellz also sell these covers painted to match Taco colors but the painted ones are a bit more expensive. They also sell one unpainted and your brother could paint them for you.

 

haha better get that order placed. lead times across the board are crazy! i recomend UpTop bravo rack. Best upgrade on my truck so far apart from tires

I bought a CPO Tacoma in 2011. I jumped up in the bed to wash the roof after a week of owning it and noticed two dents, looked like two people sat on the roof. Dealership fought me to the end about fixing it, said I did it. I know I didn't. I asked them for a factory roof rack to hide it, but they bought me a Thule that wouldn't hide a thing. I ended up selling the rack to buy a factory rack, but never got around to it and in the 10 years I owned it not one person noticed. I wouldn't fret too much, but a rack will make it even less noticeable. It sucks, but only you will know.

I won't buy another from that dealer.

 

Medium/long hair weiner. Breeder didn’t want to give her up after we put down a deposit cause they didn’t have a long hair to breed.

Long time lurker, second time poster. I want to preemptively thank all of you for helping me spend so much money! I'm reading this thread like a kid in a candy store with a pocket full of cash.

So I upgraded my '04 Taco to a 2021 last September and I just pulled the trigger on an Icon Stage 4 lift, DX4 Terrain rims, and BFG KO2s, plus a Pedal Commander. I will post pics as soon as they're installed. Unseen mods so far have been the tailgate actuator, Caliraised light bar in the lower front bumper, and of course dark tint (desert living necessity).

 

Second post, and a pocket full of cash? I see a correlation. Both will change soon.
