I don't think it will work. The tool box is actually inthe way. Look how to connects to the rails. I will have mine shorty and can take more pictures but I say it has to be removed.

I don't think your tool box will work with the cover. There are rails that sits on the side of the bed rail plastic piece where your tool box is, it's in the way of that.

There is no way that will work. Not even to mention the sides, the front of your toolbox blocks where the front mounts. Why not just get a chest in stead of a toolbox?

HUH? cuz i already have the tool box? And I know the front will be too close if I have to use those clamps i saw in the pictures, but I can slide the tool box a little farther away from the front of the bed.

Maybe its just hard to see with the pictures, but it looks like how it connects to the rails is just a flat piece of metal that gets clamped down at certain points along the bed. If thats the case, the tool box edges sitting on top of those flat metal pieces will actually just hold it down even better.

I mean.. if you guys have the top and your'e saying it definitely wont work, then I guess I have to believe you, but judging by the pictures it does look like it could work.

My tool box only sits on the bed rail about as much as this clamp does^^^^^
    [IMG]
Those up-rights are farther foward into the bed than the tool box, so it doesnt look like the would cause any problem.^^^

I would just have to slide the tool box into the bed a little bit to mount those clamps on the front of the bed, and as far foward on the sides of the bed as possible, then slide the box back into place, up against the clamps^^^^

installed one on my first gen yesterday...and at least as far as the 1st gen goes...a lo profile toolbox would be able to fit with the bestop installed, but would prevent you from completely folding it up if you wanted

out of sheer curiosity i tried installing mine with my fullsize toolbox in place and it was approx an inch or 2 too tall

bump for an answer as to whether or not a low profile tool box will fit with the bestop or soft topper.. some say no.. some say yes.. I think it looks like it will work.
see my posts above for pictures.

    thanks.

It's cold here and we tried to put mine on yesterday. I can't get the windows to stretch enough to reach the zippers.

Any tips or tricks on this?

    Thanks in Advance!

Leave it in your house for a.day flat to warm up. I start from buttoning the top then hook the main sides then the windows. I zipper mine in then hook the bottom, then.stretch the j.hooks I still have one small section of the new window that wont hook just yet but ill prolly get it today.

So you do the Zippers, then the bottom, then the jhooks on top? I've been trying to slide them in, then zip, then the bottom.
