was trying to get out of my 04/16 $23 written puts ahead...no dice...got out with a loss..panic close...break even was at $14.4...i probably could've held 'em...hope for a dead cat bounce tomorrow....
not stoked right now...i had a buy order to close set before the drop, trying to squeeze a few more dollars out...but didn't hit...ouch...

On the topic of one of PLTR's execs selling so much stock: how much of a concern is that? Maybe a short term dip if people get scared but long run I thought we were kind of calm about PLTR.

1. CTXR Like a champ...added at and avg of $2.15 today which brings my average UP to $1.52...for 3,400 shares...
2. Actively rooting against $AMC feels criminal...but my play is working perfectly.
3. I've got green pennies today.. #WTF

I'm not rooting against AMC, in at a $9 average so the closer it gets to that the better off i am with it lol.

 

Curious what y’all think Lucid Motors opening price per share will be. If it’s within reason for me, could be a long term play.

Sell the spread like I did...that's the only way out...
You want to make at least $9 a share...Well...I can have you out by 4/20...
Sell the 4/16/21 $9 covered call for $142ish and then buy the 4/16/21 $7 put for $142ish...
NOW..
If $AMC is over $9 on that date someone pays you $9 a share and your shares are gone....@Your average...
If $AMC is under $9 you keep your shares and can sell another contract..
If $AMC is under $7 (today's price) your put allows you to sell the shares at $7...and the Call expires worthless...BUT you can also sell the put for a $ value equal to your loss below $7 and deduct that from your buy in price of $9...averaging down via puts
If $AMC stays flat as it gets closer to 4/16 the call will start to decrease in value due to time...and then you can buy it back for pennies (or let it expire) and sell another...Watch the spreads on the Call/Puts to time it right and you can make money on them...

 

Hmmmm. Interesting call. I'm not 100% on how calls and puts work. I've read up on them and know how they work. Just haven't ever tried them out completely.


100 shares is the minimum you can do right?

 

They have to be in lots of 100....No more, No Less..
That's what I did here..
1 Collar position on 100 shares for this Friday. Ideal situation is $AMC crashes below $6.40 and I maximize profits...Worst case it settles at about $7.01....and I lose my MAXIMUM loss of $3

 

Gotcha. I need to read up more on calls and puts. I understand the concept of them. Just not exactly sure how to watch it for the best entry and exit points with them. Will need to do more research on maneuvering with them.
